Try to get an ADN test (trichotest from fragon : https://www.fagron.hr/en-us/trichotest™genetictest) to get all the medicine that will work for you... Then you will be able to select the medecine you are ok with.

It seems that minoxidil is on Prostaglandines so perhaps other prostaglandines medicine willl have same effect ?

That look like this (this is mine)

You can't take minox & I can't take fin. What a love story lol

I get better results using both topical & oral minoxidil. Maybe you can try add topical fin? Are you using a ketoconazole shampoo as well?

I'm not sure about the topical fin. I figured the pills would be good enough. I don't know. I'm definitely still losing ground.

I'm not using that shampoo. I did in the past but for dandruff purposes. Then I just went back to head and shoulders. Didn't hear enough that it really would help much with hair loss.

If you are in the US, and take the generic brand of Dutasteride, it’s only $23.99 for 3 month (90 pills). Sold at Costco.

I’ve been thinking of switching too. Have been on Finasteride for 8 months now.

Oh that's not bad. My pharmacy is kroger. Not sure how much a difference that would be. And yes I forgot to mention I'm in the United States.

Yep, started Proscar in 1996 cut into 4 pieces then switched over to Avodart in 2001. I started loosing hair at 17 I am 50 now. It’s definitely helped me keep my hair. Most of my childhood friends went completely bald except for the lucky ones that never had hair loss. I have some age related thinning but nothing major. Just started oral minoxidil 2.5 tablets once a day. My blood pressure was always a bit on the high range so I get the benefit of it lowering it. I noticed after 45 your body starts really degrading joint, muscle wise. I have always been very active since I was 14, martial arts, weights, etc.

No major side effects. I do yearly blood tests and my PSA is really low. My dad pasted away from prostrate cancer in his early 60s.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Doesn't dutasteride lower the psa by a lot so it's harder or something to detect cancer?
