    Hello,

I'm reaching out for some advice and insight into my current situation with my hair transplant. Up until the two years mark (October)  after i underwent the procedure, everything seemed perfect. My hair was looking great, and I was more than satisfied with the results.

However, right around the two-year mark , which means in the last 5 months, I've noticed my hair beginning to shed significantly, and it feels like my transplant is slowly fading away. This change has been quite distressing, considering how well things were going.

I've attached some pictures to show the current state of my hair. As for my daily routine, I've been consistent with minoxidil, taking finasteride 1mg, MSM, and biotin every day. Additionally, I've been getting PRP treatments every month in an effort to maintain the health and appearance of my hair.

Despite these efforts, the shedding has continued, and I'm really concerned about losing the progress I had achieved.

I'm here to seek any advice, personal experiences, or recommendations that might help me understand what's happening and what steps I can take next. Could this be a temporary phase, or is there something more I should be doing to address this issue?

Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read about my situation and for any help you can provide.

  2. "Hello everyone, I recently underwent three PRP treatments over the last three months, but instead of experiencing hair regrowth, I'm facing increased hair loss. Two years ago, I had a hair transplant performed by Bisanga. I'm currently using Finasteride, Minoxidil, and Saw Palmetto as part of my regimen. Has anyone else encountered this issue, especially after a hair transplant, and if so, could you please share your experiences and any advice on how to address it? Is it reversible? Or am I screwed?

I'd greatly appreciate any insights or recommendations as it's killing me.

    Thanks!

in your first post (nov 21') you say you are on medication since many years. in this post (march 23') you post a picture and say this was just a couple years ago when you were not on medication. also the pic (nov 21') looks very different than the pic in this post 2 years ago. this is all very confusing to say gthe least

    nothing to be confused about.

Had a break from medication for like 6 months or so, shedding was imminent.

  4.  My 18-Month Hair Transplant Journey: *Results and Reflections*

    Hello everyone!

It's been a while since I last posted, but I'm finally back with a major update on my hair transplant journey. I can't believe it's been 18 months since I took the plunge and decided to address my hair loss. Today, I want to share my results, experiences, and some advice for anyone who might be considering a hair transplant.

First and foremost, let's talk results. I have to say, it's easy on of the best decisions iv'e ever made.

I'm ecstatic with how my hair has turned out! I've attached some before-and-after photos below for you all to see the difference.

Before Hair Transplant ( a couple of years ago with no treatment and no medications): IMG-2646.jpg.f95049cb8352d5631ee9d3444c6e8a7c.jpg

18 Months Post Hair Transplant: [Insert link to after photos]

    IMG-2637.thumb.jpg.7584333597b2190584e4b0339904fa43.jpgIMG-2640.thumb.jpg.e1f5dceef4fd5836bd4fce640931b56c.jpgIMG-2644.thumb.jpg.e9d3c848f4981520258e10d73c867c71.jpgIMG-2645.thumb.jpg.83c6550da098959a7792f683d207db7b.jpg

As you can see, the transformation is truly remarkable. The transplanted hair has grown in thick and dense, and it's given me a newfound sense of confidence. It took a while for the results to really show (as expected), but it was well worth the wait.

Throughout this journey, I've faced a few challenges that I'd like to share:

Patience: The most important thing to remember is that hair transplants take time. You won't see immediate results, and it may take a few months for the transplanted hair to even start growing. Stay patient and trust the process.

Post-op care: Make sure to follow your surgeon's post-op care instructions to the letter. This will help ensure optimal results and avoid complications. I was diligent with my care and had no issues with infection or scarring.

Mental preparedness: It's essential to prepare yourself mentally for the changes that come with a hair transplant. You may experience shedding, which can be disheartening, but it's a normal part of the process. Stay positive and remind yourself that it's temporary.

Overall, I'm incredibly happy with my decision to undergo a hair transplant. It's been a life-changing experience, and I couldn't be more pleased with the results. For those considering a hair transplant, Bisanga is just on another level and it was SO worth the travel.

THANK YOU SO MUCH  DR BISANGA!

I want to extend my gratitude to this community for being a fantastic source of information, support, and inspiration throughout my journey. If you have any questions or concerns about hair transplants, please feel free to comment below or send me a private message. I'm always happy to help!

Wishing you all the best in your hair restoration journeys!

    Cheers,
    🙂

    Hey everyone ,

I'll just say this is one of the best decisions iv'e ever made.

    Bisanaga is a genius.

Things are going exactly as they should be and i'm actually stoked with my hair.

There's a tiny thing that seems abnormal and it's the center-front part which is still a bit thin. attaching photos for your impression of the overall great result so far.

would LOVE some feedback from you guys!

  6. 6 months update

As was mentioned to me countless of times and I let my hair anxiety get the better of me:  Patience is a virtue.

There was a significant improvement in the last month and finally i feel like it's getting closer to where i wished my hair would be prior to to the operation.

Left side is still significantly denser than the right side, but all in all I belive it look good for 6 months.

Would love your feedback on the difference between the two sides and your overall feedback on where things stand and how much improvement i'm still facing.

Left side -Full of hair and there's even a ponytail :

Right side - Higher Hairline and looks not as good as the left side. Thoughts?

Looks great for 5 months - let it grow longer on top, because you will need a slightly longer length than where it’s at just now for a better illusion of density, even when it’s fully matured … you’d be surprised at the difference a longer length makes.

Are you able to post more pictures , but of your hair combed backwards , so we can see the hairline exposed ? It’s quite hard to make out your highlighted points, with the photos provided.

Your donor looks incredibly strong, so I’d expect this to be a fantastic result in the months to come.

OK so now i'm a bit worried.

After seeing your inquiry - I decided to take a closer look...

It actually made me a bit anxious as my hairline is far from being even. while the left side is growing nicely, the right side is looking weird.

Maybe i'm not seeing clearly - Is this normal for this stage?

Would really appreciate yours and everyone's else's feedback on these, as 5 months is an indicative period for how my hairline should look

Left side looking normal and okish

Right side looking like no transplant was ever conducted?:

    Look from top /front:

Looks uneven , look at the gap on the right side, while I don't see any hairs growing there as well.

    Hey Everyone.

Just got back from the barbershop. Things are shaping up slowly but you can finally see my future hairline.

Left side is growing great while the right side is somewhat lacking density and shape, hopefully it will get better soon.

adding photos from different positions (and 1 wet hair picture to show you the lack of density)

I hope the best is yet to come, 6 months is just around the corner.

    Would love your feedback!

    Hey Everyone.

Not much to update TBH,Cut my hair today and I can finally see the shape of my future hairline.

Little to none density as of yet - But i'm patient! It's still early and the best is yet to come.

Would love your feedback  on my growth for this timeframe (4 months) and if you think the big change would happen in the next 8 weeks?

Left side - Very thin compared to the right side but i'm sure it will even up

  10. 3 months update:

    Hey Everyone.

So the shock loss is completely gone and all of the hairs around the temple have re-grown and my initial anxiety is out the door.

With that being said - there's still little to none grow in the recipient area, which i assume is quite normal for this stage.

Usually I don't leave the house without a beanie/cap on my head, the recipient area still looks kinda weird(more than you can see in the photos) .can't wait for this "ugly duck" phase to be over.

Would love your feedback on my progress so feel free!

    Thank you!

  11. 40 DAYS POST OP

The donor area is recovering pretty well except for maybe tiny bit of shockloss on the back part of the head (right side looks perfect)

and the reciepent area has already shed almost of all the tranplanted hair (which is , I assume, overall a good sign)

i'm taking on a daily basis before going to bed:

    Oral Finestride

    Oral minoxidil 5%

    Biotin 1000mg

    MSM

    Mayven Hair pills

i'm also applying coconut oil on my scalp on a daily basis to help with my dry skin.

The only thing that i'm a bit worried about is the fact that areas that weren’t  involved in the procedure (temple area mostly) are not growing hair in the same tempo as other areas. Those areas, as you can see on my orginial photos, were full of hair. is this normal?or am i just anxious for no reason again? and what do you think of the overall progess? would love your feedback.

    Thank you!

Not sure if you havent been educated in the process of a hair transplant?

After the hair transplant from like 7 days and forward your hair will shed up to say 90% of the transplanted hairs.

They will come back generally from Month 3 and forward. Month 6 you will see a good progress. Month 12 you will see over 90% of your result.

Obviously I was just felt a bit early and there are patches

  13. I recently underwent and FUE procedure of 2222 grafts to the hairline and frontal region at the BHR Clinic, Brussels with Dr Bisanga and his team. The goal of the surgery was to restore my original hairline and add density to help reinforce part of the frontal zone that had thinned. I am 32 years old, and have been on Finestride and Minoxidil for many years.

The whole day was very straightforward and everything from arriving to leaving the clinic took place between 7am-7pm.

The team and staff were all helpful, friendly and very professional at all times, and the after care and support received has also been fantastic.

It has to be said - the surgery itself is more intense than i imagined. long hours with weird feeling to the head and at times it was quite painful as well. I had atleast 10-15 injections of anesthesia. with that being said - the staff were pateint and calmed me own during nervy moments

Dr Bisanga designed the hairline, extracted the grafts, and opened the channels in the morning session, whilst the technicians implanted the grafts in the afternoon session following a quick lunch.

Couple of days post op my face got SO SWOLLEN that it was quite embrassing to fly back home. took about a week before i got back into my regular lookng self.

Photos are pre op and immediately post op and also updates from the first 30 days.

would love your feedback on the progress

I'll update every 30 days on how it's going
