    @Blane123,

    There are already a lot of replies this topic so I’m sure your question has been long answered. I also have not read ever respond so I’m only addressing your original question.

    That said, yes you can wear a loose fitting baseball cap immediately after surgery. In fact, many clinics/physicians supply a loose fitting hat on the day of the procedure for you to wear to help you protect the grafts.  That said, I would personally stay away from fitted hats and anything that is snug against the scalp for about a week

    After a HT do you think after a week a touque would be ok to wear

    Zigler,

    Actually, that’s quite normal. In fact, I’ve heard some hair transplant patients  claim that they’ve worked the scabs off around 4 to 5 days. So 7 to 10 days is pretty average.  As long as you weren’t picking at the scabs or the transplanted hair with your fingernails over the first couple days and you didn’t dislodge any grafts early on, you’re fine.  Note that losing a graft would be followed by blood and a bit of pain.   It’s highly unlikely that you did this but I just wanted to cover all the bases.

    Best wishes,

    I enjoy reading all your comments, you offer a lot great comforting opinions

  3. I was looking to go to Dr M 1st week of Feb in NJ

    Had a great consult with Dr M. I felt at ease and really trust him.

    Coming from another country and with all the Covid restrictions and flight cancellation I got to nervous to firm up.

    Dr M was trying to ease my concerns about travel and was going above and beyond to try and accommodate me. He is a good person

    Are you starting meds ? Definitely worth considering after talking with your own Gp/Dr/dermatologist. Also worth consulting with some more clinics. Your hair loss is noticeable on one side in particular. How does it look when it’s grown out ?

    What is the best Med for pre and post surgery in your opinion. Weather it oral or topical

    We’re about to finish our 2nd and final day of surgery. I’m at his office, Skin of All Color (I believe it is Dr Neh Onumah’s office), in Princeton, NJ. Just an FYI, I had very delayed responses from 1 of his customer services reps. I asked about it today and they told me someone passed away in her family and that’s probably the reason why. Other than that, Dr Mwamba’s team has been the best. Very nice and caring people.

    Hoping for great results.

    Is the Team Dr M has working with him new or are they the team from Brussels that travels with him from Brussels to Atlanta to New Jersey

  6. What a great site this is. So informative and so many great people wanting to help.

    Thank you !!!

    I am just looking to fix my hairline so that I hope it could cover  my old HT. I would not want hairline extended to the sides of my head. Just want front part fixed .,that's all. If this could be done I would start having my hair slicked back. Would also wish to have beard hair used. Also could I use beard hair along with SMP to cover old scar marks???
