Hey, I'm posting here the same reply I sent Whufcdanny95 via PM, since I use HairMax comb for probably 3+ years.

LLLT definitely won't stop your hair loss. I use it in combination with minoxidil and dermarolling. 

Those things made my hair thicker and fuller but they are not supposed to eliminate the cause of hair loss - DHT.

Finasteride didn't work for me too, so yeah.

Laser therapy is among the things that probably slows down hair loss and makes the remaining hair look better, so basically it probably works for me, but it is not something ground breaking.

In addition, according to hairverse article, in more scientific terms:

So it basically is hair growth enhancer with some hints to  5-alpha reductase inhibition. Many studies founds its statistically significant efficacy in hair loss treatment, but still, I would use it as addition to your regimen and not as a sole treatment option.

Totally scam and trash quality presentation with none of their claims substantiated with any researches, data, anything. Sorry, it just makes me furious.

I'd say its an average everyday snake oil with way below than average efforts to sell it haha

DHT blockers like you mentioned - finasteride are the ones to tackle the roots of the problem. But since they seems not to be suitable for you, should probably try the combination of other treatments have shown to help, at least to some extent.

Consider minoxidil twice daily

Microneedling - few times a week with needles of up to 0.5mm, once a month with needles of 1.5mm

Low level laser therapy - quite expensive to buy a device but it is a one time purchase after all

Anyways, don't take my advice as a routine you should follow, those are just hints derived from my own experience. You should do further research, and even better, after that visit a dermatologist (preferably with trichology training).

As far as I know it's a regular practice to prescribe anti-androgen drug to maintain your existing hair, otherwise you will soon enough need additional hair transplantation to cover new areas, if you have an aggressive alopecia  You'll also likely be offered PRP after the surgery to increase the graft survival rate.

Since I use nanoxiidl once a day, a buy it in 3-month packages, +dermaroller for ~15USD every 2 month, so I guess my regimen costs me ~20$/month (~15GBP). Plus I use LLLT 3 times a week - I use HairMax Comb Ultima 12 which I bought 2 years ago, it did cost me probably 500 USD at a time, but its one time cost, so yeah.

I tried DS labs revita shampoo and conditioner and I liked it, but agree that its expensive. What is more, I'm not a fan of shampoos for hair hair loss treatment, but I like using caffeine shampoo like Alpecin, and regularly use ketoconazole shampoo (nizoral) as the latter has some potential to block DHT.

P.S. I like nanoxidil and Lipogaine sensitive, as they both have additional ingredients and both do not cause itchiness in my scalp like majority of the solutions that use propylene glycol (PG) as a solvent.

not a dumb question, I should have been more clear. I use 1.5 mm dermaroller once a month as it significantly boosts the production of endothelial growth factors for hair, as it reaches the hair bulge region. I use it once a month because when longer needles (1.5mm) are used, you need time for cells to regenerate.

Then I use 0.5 mm needle-length dermaroller 3 times a week as it is enough to boost the absorption of topical scalp treatment solutions - nanoxidil in my case.
