Nobel Victim...
I just had 3173 grafts by Dr. Hasson. The cost averaged $3.06 per graft based on H&W fees plus $400 credit on travel. Only thing not included is the stupid $700 sales tax I had to pay. You can do the math if you want to average that out. It's tough for me, I'm from Delaware where we have no sales tax!
Point is, I got a superior procedure at a great price!

Hi rooster.....
What I'm referring to is, I don't have a clue. That's why I said if I'm wrong, please advise. I don't know what's going on and just looking for info. If I missed the notification, I aplogize to all. I really like this forum and have learned an awful lot and hope it will continue. Thanks.

Congratulations on your HT, and happy healing and growth.

FYI, I have staples as well. I went to AAA Motor Club and bought a Mini-Travel Plillow. This helped me greatly. It takes enough pressure off my head so that the pressure from the pillow pushing up on the staples is reduced. I bought this for the plane ride, but was surprised to find it really helped lying in bed.

As the saying goes, you cannot take it with you. Quailty of life is everything, so do it while you can, for yourself and the loved ones around you!

How long after an HT can you play golf?
I know you are supposed to limit physical activity like manual labor, etc.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Congratualtions! You are to be commended for creating and maintaining such a site. I have felt for years that hair rplacement/restoration were mainly shucksters like you see on TV, even to the point that I was going to ask my family doctor on my next visit if their are any "real" clinics, etc. Before I was able to do so, I found this site and have been immensly educated and it has allowed me to aviod making a potentially devistating mistake (MHR).
Keep up the god work!

Stitches or Sutures?

I had a HT in May. My surgeon used staples. My home was 2000 miles away and I did not know how I'd get these out. My surgeon gave me a removal device and I called my local doctor. He did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised how easily they popped out.
BTW, I think sutures are more comfortable. But staples a pain, but come out after only 10 days.
