I started taking Xyon's Topical Dutasteride last week - currently applying daily as recommended by Dr. Hasson and the pharmacist 🤞.

Has anyone tried applying Xyon's Topical Dutasteride on their temple peaks or at the base of their neck, which are also common areas affected by androgenic alopecia?  It seems that people are predominately applying it on their crown, midscalp, and hairline.

I don't think it's necessary to apply at the nape. I'm only applying it to the hairline and crown, but I'm still getting thickening in other areas. Even my donor area has improved in quality.

No one (Not me, not Kevin Mann, not the scientific community) really knows 100% the safety of lowering your DHT at the levels that Fin lowers it.

Not true. Fin has been around since the 90's, and has a ton of real world safely data. Yes, side effects do occur, but unlike Reddit thinks, getting ED is not worse than death. I don't completely agree with Kevin Mann's opinion that "DHT is a trash hormone", but suppressing it will not put your life in danger.

I was getting "finasteride" side effects (depression, anxiety, low libido, brain fog) even while not on finasteride. Guess what the cause was?

    Going bald.

Now that I'm using topical Dut, I feel a lot better.

  3. I'm a little over the 3 month mark now.

For the last month, I bumped it up to 5x per week. Going forward, I'm just doing every day.

I haven't really seen any crazy regrowth, but it's definitely doing the trick. I'm seeing improvements on a weekly basis, and my hair actually has volume for the first time in years. I even went out and bought a comb, something I haven't owned in a while.

As for sides, I'm going to say "none so far." I concluded that my initial libido drop was from getting COVID, bc I'm completely back to normal there.

At this point, I can't call this anything other than a total success. Bring on the next few months.

This. Poor sleep wrecks hormone levels.

Also, alcohol and lack of exercise cause me to get it less often.

Eating healthier seems to help things as well.

This guys a clown downplays finasteride side effects, but but but stay away from the big bad minoxidil

He doesn't downplay Fin's side effects. He says they indeed occur in a certain % of users.

However, he does go after all the online fear-mongering about the drug, which sadly occurs on this forum too.

  6. Just hit the 2 month mark with Xyon's Dut.

I'm currently doing 3x per week, but will probably go up to 4x or 5x.

No noticeable regrowth, so it's hard to tell if it's working yet. I did get some shedding in the thin areas where I've been applying it, and the rest of my hair definitely feels healthier than before. The best effect so far is that it completely stopped the "DHT itch" on my scalp, which was driving me crazy before.

As for side effects, I think my libido is somewhat lower. That can be caused by tons of different factors, and I've been dealing with a crazy level of stress at work lately, so I can't attribute it to the meds directly. I haven't noticed anything else though. At this point, I'm sticking with it.

    Do you take any medication?
I’m on duta fina and minox and don’t see any difference and I lift like a maniac and take prot and creatine… 10-15 days in the showers that’s it…

I think I’m just gonna take dht blood test so we’ll know once and for all if it does anything.

I started topical Dut about 1.5 months ago. Still early on, but I'm starting to see small improvements. The more miniaturized hairs shedded, and everything else feels stronger and healthier.

I'm also going back onto a heavy lifting routine, so we'll see what happens.

  8. I've been consistently working out for the last 10 years. But I definitely noticed increased hair loss during periods when I was doing a ton of lifting, using whey, and taking pre-workout (including creatine).

I'm already prone to AGA anyway, so take this FWIW.

Completely agree. No one is telling anyone to buy anything, taking medication is a personal decision. Any side effects?

I haven't noticed any sides so far. I happened to catch COVID right after starting the medication though, so I probably need a little more time to evaluate.

  10. I'm a month into topical Dut currently. Time will tell whether it works or not, but I weighed the financial cost and I think it's worth it. Even with buying Xyon, I can potentially ease an affliction that's caused me distress for most of my life, for less than what some people spend on a single night out.

I'm already prone to some of the conditions that 5AR inhibitors cause as sides, so I don't want to risk oral.

If someone doesn't think topicals are worth it, they shouldn't buy them. But their availability led me to starting treatment.

No, in my experience morning wood is more associated with sleep quality. Good sleep; strong morning wood.

  12. I started Xyon Dut about a week ago. I started with EOD, but haven't noticed any sides yet.

Applying it isn't that bad, but I'm a diffuse thinner and it makes my hair look awful. Hopefully this will be less of a problem once I start to get some density back.

For now, I'll probably apply after I get home from work during the week, skipping on days when I have an event. On weekends, I'll apply in the morning, and take a shower before going out at night.

Interesting. May I ask what his controversial views were...? And what part of his past exactly were the trolls going after..?

I think a lot of people didn't like his views on Fin.

Years ago, he apparently used to post troll comments on various forums. I personally didn't see them, so I'm not sure what they were about.

  14. He posted a video about this that was only up for a few hours.

Basically, people that didn't like his content were trying to go after him personally, digging up stuff from his past. Not wanting to jeopardize his personal life or career, he was considering taking his channel down, which he ended up doing.

Sucks cause I loved his videos, even if I didn't agree with him on everything.
