Hello everyone!
So I am 22 y/o male who is losing hair. My dad is NW6-7. I am now probably NW2 diffuse.
So I have been losing my hair for 2-3 years and I am pretty sad about it. I started topical minoxidil with microneedling in May last year and got some good results but soon started losing it again. So in January this year I added topical finasteride 0.05% and in the first two months my hairloss stopped completely and I was pretty happy about it. 2 months in I started shedding pretty badly and shedding has not stopped since - so I have been shedding for 2 months straight. Also I have some kind of itch on my scalp. So my question to you is what to do next? Should I wait for full year? I am afraid that my hairloss is proggresing so I want to add something else. But also I don’t see how finasteride can work for 2 months then suddenly stop? I thought it was shedding phase but surely shedding phase can’t last for 2 months+. So what is your advice here - should I wait whole year on finasteride and then add something else or start it right now? I am willing to start RU, Oral minoxidil and maybe try oral finasteride.(of course not everything at the same time). Thanks in advance guys.

Have you considered microdosing topical fin?
how would you microdose topical fin? like 0.025% or?

Hello guys, as I can't take oral Finasteride due to side effects I decided to try topical Finasteride. I will start with very low dose of 0.025% and then build it up. So I want to make topical Finasteride at home, and I saw that guys crush their Finasteride pills and just drop it in Minoxidil and they get results. Is this the right way? I am planning to put 7.5mg of Finasteride in my 60ml bottle of Minoxidil and use 2ml a day. That = 0.025% of topical Finasteride a day. So did you have any experience with DIY topical finasteride and Minoxidil?

Phase 3 pegged for the end of the end of the year - Kintor have been moving extremely fast and I have no doubt that this will beat out Breezula to market.
Let's hope their androgen receptor degrader which is beginning its phase 1 trials is successful - it would undoubtedly be the best treatment we've ever had.
For now though, finasteride stacked with pyrilutamide and perhaps a low dose of oral min daily would really be a 'cure' for anyone at the beginning stages of baldness in my opinion - I think that protocol would keep 99 percent of users steady for pretty much the rest of their lives.
Yes, they are great.
As someone who can't tolerate Finasteride, I hope Pyrilutamide will give me something(and GT20029). Until then I am doing anything I can to keep my hair.

Big news on Pyrilutamide. Lets pray that this is new BIG thing in fighting hair loss.
"Full statistics of the phase 2 trial are not available yet other than the announcement that KX-826 created a statistically significant change in non-vellus hair count in a targeted area compared to placebo."
"The study enrolled 120 male subjects and was completed over a 6 month period. No major adverse events were reported and the majority of adverse events reported were mild"
"With a good safety profile in hand, Kintor Pharmaceutical is planning to commence a phase 3 trial in China by the end of the year."

Hello guys, is anyone here using topical Finasteride 0.025% and did you check your serum DHT? I plan to order it, but can't tolerate oral Fin due to sides. If anyone has experience with this low dose of topical finasteride, please comment. Thanks in advance.

It’s a clear sign the hair is miniaturizing .. the root ball has probably shrink so it doesn’t stay on the scalp as well . Probably easy to pull out .. I was in same situation .. finasteride helped the hairs grow longer n thicker . So it doesn’t fall out as easy . But yeah u Need to get it medically treated .. ignoring it will be too late.
I can't tolerate Finasteride(oral/topical). I know that I will go bald eventualy but I just want to slow it down so currently I use minoxidil, stemoxydine, Alfatradiol, microneedling and ketoconazole shampoo.

So guys I have been shedding only small hairs for the last 6 months. I know I have AGA, but is it possible to not shed not single longer hair? All I see is miniaturized small fine hairs shedding. I have been using minoxidil 20 days now, and when I massage it in I lose about 30 small hairs, not single longer hair EVER.
My hair is much longer than hairs in picture. I did not shed longer hairs (longer than 3cm) for the last 6 months.

Did you try a lower dosage of fin? Like .5mg every other day? I do remember when I started fin 14 years ago I had some ball ache, and I almost quit. It went away after about 2 weeks and I haven't had a problem since.
I tried but side effects persisted and then I quit it. Really dont know what my options are here

Hello guys, my first post here, I am 21 years old and I have really bad hair loss. It happened in the span of 6 months. I went to derm, he prescribed me Finasteride. I got some really bad side effects and because of that I don't want to take it anymore. Also tried topical Finasteride, got side effects also. My dad was NW6 at age 25, so I will be too probably. Do you suggest to start Minoxidil + Dermarolling + Ketoconazole or? Also I dont want to take any non FDA approved drugs. Do you know anyone who was in the same situation? I also plan to get hair transplant when I am 24-25 but then I don't know how much hair I will have left. Also my question is what are best hair transplant surgeons who bring back from NW6 to maybe NW2? Thanks in advance guys.
I need your advice guys - my hairloss story (with pictures)
