Apologies for the small delay - I've been very busy and even struggled to find time for a haircut.

Here's an update six months after adding 2200 grafts.

Overall, I'm happy with the results. However, I'm still experiencing hair loss, which was expected even before the first procedure. My plan now is to appreciate what I have, monitor the progression of any bald spots, and consider signing up for another surgery when covering them becomes impossible.

Absolutely yes, the thing is to use different shampoos not to allow your skin to get used to one/two of them. I really couldn't work in the office as my head was that itchy. I also had a lot of pimples of some sort. Now it happenes from time to time, but there's nothing to compare

Paraderm (shampoo with tar, ichthammol, ciclopirox) - Friday in the week 1, Tuesday, Sunday in the week 2

Mediket Ictamo (ichthammol, octopirox) - twice a week, always on Monday, Thursday

A "normal" shampoo for hair growth - Wednesday, Saturday

No, I didn't have to. I wouldn't notice it, if not for this thread. My hairdresser didn't notice it. Dr. Bicer took care of it for free.

My hairline was lowered a little and filled with singles. + density was added to the hairline and the crown.

Fungus - I think it's possible as my current apartment is in a bad condition, however, none of my doctors have followed this possibility and I don't know how to confirm or exclude it

2 months ago it wasn't that bad + I had all my tests done with perfect results (CRP, OB), hence I didn't cancel it.

Yes, two months ago, I had my second procedure. Just under 2200 grafts. I'll create a new thread in some time.

I was thinking about changing my meds for a completely different reason. In April, I started feeling unwell, and it's only getting worse over time. I have prolonged subfebrile fever, I'm physically tired, have no appetite, and no libido. I've been getting medical tests since August, but all the results are normal, so out of desperation, I'm considering stopping finasteride. I have a dermatologist appointment in a week. Unfortunately, dutasteride is difficult to obtain (if at all) in my country. We'll see.

As for the hair loss itself, the problem is that it's progressing, so two procedures definitely won't be enough. I already know that with shorter hair, the difference in density and thickness of hair (on the border between transplanted and natural hair) is quite noticeable. Dr. Bicer preferred not to transplant hair where I haven't lost it yet and where the density is quite poor. We'll see how the situation develops

I think I have mentioned it already but the plan was to have at least 2 HTs from the very beginning. As one year ago I was 27 and I'm still balding, Dr. Bicer (and some users here with whom I agree) planned not to make the hairline too dense as the density of the top of my head is decreasing. I can see very clearly that my hairline is more dense than the top (well, the space just after the hairline and before the top haha) because I lost some more hairs but it looks good and I can call it a transitional phase.

That is why I'm very happy with the result. It all went according to the plan. I was never promised and I was never expecting a full and dense results after the first HT.

Regarding tenting/sparse areas, please check to which areas I had grafts inserted.

In real life I got only good reviews. No one never asked me, if I had a HT. My hairdresser said she wouldn't have known. And, of course, my life improved a lot.

Hi  So, this is my last update. One year ago I had my surgery and I will just simply say it was totally worth it. I cannot recognise myself in older pictures. I'm very grateful to Dr. Bicer. For the surgery itself but also for the post-op care.

Now, I will enjoy what I have and in September I'm about to go for the second run. Thanks to all of you who were following my progress. Take care and see you

Hi All, 10 month update. I will post the last one one year after the surgery - in March. The first set of photos - with natural light - it was very, very bright. Just FYI.

Again, I will appreciate all tips on when would you go for a second procedure and some feedback if you even see any difference vs my latest update.

I don't comb my hair like this on a daily basis. I let them curl more and stand + I use fibers.

Hi, it's fine, no worries. So how would you rate my result from 1 to 10? Honestly, the difference is so huge that I cannot be dissatisfied. That was my first out of two or three HTs and not treating it as a final result also changes my view.

Hi guys  Apologies I didn't post 7 month update. I was on holidays. However, not much changed during the last 2 months.

Right now I have two things on my mind.

1. When do you think I should start considering my second procedure? I'm 28 now. Of course, I can see a huge difference already but I'm losing my hair + midscalp hairs are much thinner and less dense than my front. Should I just survive as long as I can?

2. I have no idea how to manage my hair haha. I like the fact I have curly hair but to fully benefit from it I shouldn't use a hair dryer and a narrow comb. On the other hand, a narrow comb helps me to hide balder spots. When I just let my hair to dry (without a comb) I'm not able to do anything with it and I look much balder. A lot of people tell me to raise my hair which is also very difficult because of the difference I mentioned in the first point. It's frustrating. I do use fibres and you can see the outcome in the last picture. I would appreciate any advice

Ok, 16 weeks/4 months update. I can see a huge difference between 3rd and 4th months which is really nice  As I mentioned in my latest post, two spots miss density but I hope I will be manage to cover them. I guess now the best part starts.

Hi  Yes, I would say so. I can definitely see two spots which are pretty bald. The problem is I cannot tell if those spots have grafts transplanted or not. If not, I'm just loosing hair haha.

Well, as I said before, my midscalp was not touch, I'm almost 28 and I know I will loose density there. But now I just need to wait another 8-10 months to see the final result. Then I will start thinking about the second turn.

I've read a lot of threads here and I know the term of seasonal hair loss after a surgery. After the phase of shedding I was loosing almost no hair which was very nice but now my sink is full of hair after using minoxidil  I really hope it's just seasonal but I also have to admit I had a lot of weeks full of stress lately... We will see.

Hi, this is my last 2-weeks update. Three months have passed and I can say it's better. When I use Toppik, I feel pretty good. On the other hand, I'm worried about the crown. When I compare my current photos with the ones from September 21 (https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/61039-dr-bicerdr-demirsoy-3000-3500-grafts) I know I have less hair now on the top and I don't know if it's because the surgery (as a part of the process because I should got back all my old hair, right?) or I just have lost it due to my hair loss.

Anyway, maybe in a month I will have something to show off

10 weeks update with three comments:

1. I have a new phone so it may not be so easy to compare previous photos with new ones haha.

2. Dr. Bicer told me that I should take photos in natural light as bathroom photos have the most difficult conditions but to be able to compare the journey I feel I need to keep the environment stable  Still, I add 3 photos with natural light.

3. I had my first haircut.

Last week I also bought Toppik. Just wow. I won't stop using it.

So, I am still waiting and hoping for first visible (even small) improvement in a month.

Hi guys, 2 months ago I had my first HT. I would say I'm in the funny-looking phase but in three days I will have my first haircut. I hope it will help a bit.

The right side of my donor area still didn't recover but it's much better so I'm not afraid for now.

Recipients areas are still more sensitive, especially the crown. Sometimes it's just itchy (but VERY itchy) and sometimes sore. I don't know how to call it. It's not pain but some kind of mix of very small "pain" and itch.

Sure, I'm aware but it's getting more difficult to be confident in public. Plus I keep in mind I will have to go through it at least one more time haha

Hi again, 6 weeks has passed.

My right donor side still looks much worse. It worries me a bit.

Also still waiting for a moment to say "it doesn't look worse than before the surgery"
