COVID causes diffuse inflammation, vasoconstriction and clots -- miscarriages, strokes, pulmonary embolism  are associated with it.

If you are in the recovery period after a hair transplant and get it, it will likely affect your healing process. No studies on this, but it would be very strange if it didn't.

Well I’m all healed up now, and I’d say the healing process was about the same, if not easier for me than a common cold.

If by diffuse inflammation you mean systemic, I’d say unlikely unless there was sepsis, which i seriously doubt I had. And pulmonary embolism, I’m gonna go ahead and say 0% chance I had that.

Im a younger dude. I’d wager that symptoms that severe are exponentially more likely in the elderly. Crazy though to think what some people go through with COVID

  2. I’m at about 6 weeks post op, and since about 2.5-3weeks post op I’ve been using aloe Vera on my scalp every night in the shower. But like an idiot, I didn’t check the ingredients list until today: 92% aloe Vera, and among the other ingredients is clearly labelled ‘ALCOHOL’, along with various other glycols.

I haven’t noticed anything really abnormal; I’d say about 70-80% of the transplanted hair has shed. my recipient area is still slightly red but I’m not sure if that’s due to the alcohol or not. Ironically, every part of my scalp except my recipient area is flaking.

Im worried, could I have done any damage?

  3. I'm about a month out of my HT and been dealing with covid symptoms the past few days. Now I'm perfectly fine, just a bit of a runny nose and loss of taste/smell; I'm wondering if covid should have any effect on my HT results. Rationally I know it shouldn't, but all this sitting around at home has me more than a bit neurotic...
