Hi chka, your donor and scalp will feel tight for some time, especially as it starts to heal and scab over your scalp will feel particularly tight but rest assured it improves and once you around a month it is minimal, just ensure to apply your foam and leave it soaking for some time for relief. If you have allowed the swelling to spread by not wearing the headband you could have discomfort as far as under your eyes but couldn’t comment too much on this as it didn’t go near my jaw. I would say your face feels very strange for the first few weeks but quickly improves :)

Thanks mate, each time I get tingly feeling in transplanted area keep getting scared they going to fall out

  2. Day 4/5 - I feel tight on the scalp and donor areas and get tingly feeling around hairline, like the grafts are coming apart type of feeling but not seen any actually fallen out, is this all normal? Also my top jaw has gone funny soft can't bite, will that be to do with the swelling?

Congrats , did Dr offer you extra grafts from your beard or did he tell you how many more grafts he can extract from your scalp in 2nd HT to cover the crown ?

Second session would require 2k grafts but would need assessing in approx 12 months time to see state of donor area. Was not told about using beard coverage.

Happy growing the work looks great. You had a huge area to cover so keep in mind that You will also need a second procedure for crown and touch up on the frontal zones. During the day of your hair transplant you met another guy who was having a hair transplant, so you were 2 patients in total?

My transplant was scheduled for a different date, I understand they do not book more than 2/3 patients a day and not everyday is "operation day" but my situation was different which I explained to the representative even though was given few dates as options for the future as we(family) were over here from last week going back wed/Thursday night flight. Would have been difficult to flyback again anytime soon, they managed to fit me in on Monday with 2others, I met one in the cab on way back to accomadation.

  6. Finally after years of research got my transplant done. Having follow Dr Yamans work with higher norwoods I was convinced to go for it. The initial consultation via WhatsApp it was agreed 4500grafts package. On the actual day Dr Yaman assessed the donor area and advised approx 4600 would be achievable and following extractions it was concluded with 4800 taken and implanted.

The process itself, I started of by liasing with Dojan for consultation on my suitability and arranging dates for procedure. I travelled with family for a few days break and the clinic agreed to accommodate me for procedure within my stay dates. On the day of procedure was collected early morning 8AM. At the clinic was greeted by Doja and taken for bloods, following which had consultation with Dr Yaman where the donor area is assessed, draft hairline drawn and realistic expectations discussed, I wanted high mature hairline with frontal third coverage, Dr advised 4k grafts cover hairline and midscalp and the addition used to spread across the crown, pics taken, head shaved, changed into procedure gown and taking to operation room.

Extraction process - this begins with the anastethic, slight discomfort from the needles but if you can handle dentist jabs you'll be fine. I was more uncomfortable with the lying face down. Once the jabs are given the extraction began in same position face down, to get to some areas the technicians needed me to adjust with forehead on the circle you put your head through. This was for me the most uncomfortable part in extractions process.

After extraction was taken for food, met another bloke in there who had travelled from Canada 🇨🇦, after lunch was taken back to operation room where Dr Yaman creates the hairline, you get to see it and discuss how you would prefer, after this Dr Yaman gave the anastethic at the front, again nothing more than a sharp scratch. Following this the incisions were made. The implementation process than began with the technician team approx 2/3 techs this was a long process and I was there till around 10pm/ish but I did have a huge area for coverage.

Bandaged donor, was then given advice on after care and will be going back today for first wash.

Overall experience wise, the staff were really good, the injections was dreading as came across other reviews but their not that bad actually, if you've had a dentist numming of teeth it's that level but if like me you've experienced biopsies the prp is like that but both sets of jabs nowhere near the level of pain when you have a bone marrow done 😆 that still is my most painful experience.

Will post my pics below, any advice on sleeping/aftercare will be much appreciated. E.g when can you wash your head under shower as normal? When can you sleep any side? Has anyone used biotin, sawpalmetto, collagen, instead of minoxidil and finasteride?

Hi mate, good luck with the procedure. Are you looking to just fill in hairline and potentially some mid-scalp with 4500 grafts?

Your hair loss is very very similar to mine and I have been quoted two sessions (3500 front + some mid-scalp, followed by a 2nd pass of around 2000/2500 to add density to mid-scalp and treat crown). The difference is that I am on meds and have seen some positive regrowth (you can check my thread for more info/pics), so my baseline is probably better than yours. I've also been advised a 3rd surgery for approx. 1500 grafts might be beneficial to complete the restoration, optional and only if needed depending on first 2 surgeries.

Your donor seems strong (although would need more pictures to verify) so I think a similar plan may work for you. I would advise against covering your entire scalp with 4500 grafts as that would just result in a diffused look and won't look much better than your current state, you are better off doing 2 passes/surgeries.

I'd say you need about 6500/7000 grafts for a good result.

Yes will be high mature hairline and frontal third area only, then maybe second procedure in future for crown area. Depends on donor area after current procedure.

  9. Finally after years of research have got myself booked in for the coming Monday 4500 grafts DHI method via yaman implanter. Feeling very nervous. Currently not taking any medication and after procedure likely to avoid finasteride due to side affects, have come across a lot of people whom suggest to use alternatives like collagen, biotin, saw palmetto, etc has anyone used these before? Any advice or tips would be appreciated. Would be great to hear from higher norwoods whom have had a HT in Turkey.

  10. Thanks all, I was looking to go with a high mature hairline I.e from current hairline working backwards, maybe even avoid doing the temple areas if still can achieve a natural look. Budget wise I can manage upto 4-4.5k sterling at the moment but I find it so hard to tell whom are the elite Dr's in this field as every clinic I approach seems to have the best reviews in the world and they all offer gurantee certificates etc. The marketing level of the clinics is so difficult to tell apart genuine experiences as in every field you would not have a 100% positive record. I fully understand it is major procedure and based on my level of balding can't really risk any damage to donor area but how do you avoid all the backstreet clinic setups and filter out to the legitimate ones. Any advice is appreciated.

  11. Can anyone recomend a reasonable priced clinic in Turkey or Europe that they have had personal experience with? I have been researching clinics in Turkey and even though the WhatsApp communication suggests the Dr's have reviewed the pics and I am suitable for a full coverage procedure, I have concerns when ask any questions feel like they are pushing me to commit without giving any in depth answers, also reviews seem generic positive ones but negative ones suggest the Dr's do not perform the procedure themselves leaving people with a pluggy multiple follicule hairline. I am trying to be careful as my balding is very bad. I just want frontal third with mature hairline coverage, my budget is sterling 3k maximum. Any advice would be appreciated.
