How was your experience? Ive also been quoted 4500 grafts via DHi. Im new so still dont understand the benefits of DHI over FUE and FUT.
I had a very good overall experience with Dr. Yaman's clinic. From the moment I arrived at Istanbul to the day of the surgery and also post-HT, the service was excellent. Dr. Yaman is a very pleasant guy and he was very easy to communicate with. He did initial hairline and the incision. The extraction and hair transplant was done by 3 techs, who I think did a pretty good job. But I have to wait and see how the results. I opted for DHI, but I really don't know what the difference since I slept through most of the procedure. The only thing that I hated was the anesthesia , which hurt quite a lot. But once that was over I didn't feel a thing. I stayed in IST was 6 nights. I will be putting a much detailed post about my experience.

I am close to 3 weeks post hair transplant. The donor area feels very sensitive, and is slightly painful to touch.
Is this normal ? How long does it take usually for the donor area to heal completely ?

Is it normal to have small bits of hair stuck to the scabs ? When it comes out.

Wow. I didn't know this existed. Thanks.

I have/had eczema/atopic dermatitis/or whatever skin issue for as long as I can remember. All the dermatologist that I visited put me on topical steroids', it worked for a few weeks then I was back to being miserable. Last year I visited a Naturopath, who did a complete review including food allergy test. I have some allergic reaction to gluten and also I was told that I might have leaky gut. I have drastically cut down on gluten and lately also avoid having refined sugar and anything with refined sugar. With tea or coffee I use organic natural Stevia. My skin has improved a lot over the last few months. I also take all natural supplements that supposedly reverses leaky gut. My scalp is usually dry but not that itchy. I use hair restoration shampoo and Nizoral weekly. I still have minor rashes on the face, which I am trying to control either via very light topical steroid or natural creams. I am scheduled for a FUE HT next month, which I am looking forward to. I am a Norwood 5/6

You can wear a normal baseball cap, as long as it’s not too tight. Do you have a specific event like a wedding to attend?
I attend a class every Saturday, and I prefer to cover my head.

Hi,
Can you recommend a hat I can wear 5-6 days after my FUE which is scheduled for mid-April ?I read the options are large baseball cap, fisherman's hat, bucket hat or loose bandana.

All this information is very useful. Thank you.

Nice review. I am booked with Dr. Yaman for next month for 4500 grafts, DHI method.

I am booked with Dr. Yaman for next month. I was told by Dr. Turans clinic that I have to be on finasteride for a few months before the HTC which I am not.

I was provided this as their address by one of their staff, on what’s app:
Küçükbakkalköy mah, Merdiven Sk. No:12 Kat:7, 34732 Ataşehir/İstanbul

Thanks! Yes if you are fully vaccinated no need for the test then. Which clinic are you going to?
Thank you. I am booked for 4500 grafts at Dr. Yaman's.

The growth looks good.
Did you have to do a PCR test to enter Turkey ? I read that it is not required if fully vaccinated.
I am travelling next month.

How long does it take usually for the redness to disappear from the beard region ?

Hello all,
I got a transplant procedure done with Dr Yaman early February. My experience with his clinic was pleasant. They took care of everything from transport to hotel stay, aftercare instructions and products to use. The translator Ihsan was very helpful as not many people spoke English in Istanbul. The procedure went smoothly, now just healing and hoping for optimal results.
Only concern that I have is my temple being noticeable from the transplant. My native hair is quite thin going up to the grafts, so I am wondering if it’s going to be noticeable in the future. Hairline and density look pretty good in my opinion, what do you guys think.
How many grafts did they plant ?

Hey Guys,
I am flying to Istanbul in April and I have finally narrowed it down to the 2 clinic options for HT that is with Fuecapilar or Dr. Yaman. I am a Norwood VI
These are the options with pricing:
FUECAPILAR (FUE method) - Frontal and Top
3500 grafts: Euro 4400 - Incision, extraction done by Dr. Gur
3500 grafts:: Euro 2600 - Incision only done by Dr. Gur
Dr. Resul Yaman (DHI method)- Frontal, Top and Crown
4000-4500 grafts: Euro 3100 - Incision only done by Dr. Yaman.
I would appreciate if you guys can give me some advice on which route to take.

I was told by the clinic that Dr. Turan will do HT only of the patient has been on finasteride for a few months at least.

So is it conclusive that Dr Yaman does definitely not do the incisions on the more expensive DHI option? He just the cheaper straightforward FUE?
I checked with the clinic and they confirmed that Dr. Yaman will make the incisions under the DHI package.

By injections but I did not see what it was. I think they poked my scalp 4-5 times in total. Dr. Yaman did this part as well and he massaged my scalp in between some of the injections to make t less painful. I was also given a tablet, as per my choice (not sure of the name), to calm my nerves a bit. Maybe that helped a bit as well. Luckily I was the only HT patient that day, that's what I was told.
