Hi, great results sir.
Random question- did you wear a headband right after surgery? If so did it not rub against the grafts on the temples you had done? Thank you 👍

I locked it in at the beginning of August and HT was mid October. Was a bit over 2 months wait. Just depends. When I first spoke to him he had an earlier date but by the time I actually decided to commit the date was gone. He holds the date for a day or two so you can arrange a deposit to lock it in.
Thank you 👌

Hi, great report. Can you tell me how long you had to wait to get to see Dr Laorwong please from your initial contact? Does he have a long waiting list do you know? Thanks

Hey @limeyaz, I was extremely lucky to get a cancellation date so only actually had to wait a couple of months. I know there's usually a long waiting list now though, even for a consultation.
Get in contact with the patient coordinator - Emilio via whatsapp is the best way to go. If you're in a position where you're available at short notice in case someone cancels advise him of this and you might get lucky as well!
Thanks @therambler for the quick reply, I'll definitely do that. Good luck with your upcoming HT with Dr Pinto 👍

Booked in with Dr. Pinto next week so been on the lookout for any posts from his patients! Congrats on the surgery and making a great choice! Work looks super clean. You're starting from a great base in comparison to me though 😀
Hi mate, how long did you have to wait for your surgery with Dr.Pinto. Do you think it would be longer than 6-8 months? Thank you

I would definitely take finasteride and see if it helps, however at the same time, I would not be discouraged if he is the only doctor that said you are not suitable for a hair transplant. I have consulted with twenty surgeons, in US, Canada and Turkey and Dr Demirsoy was the only one that said my donor area was not suitable for a HT. I have had in person consultations, so the doctors I have consulted with know what they are talking about.
Hi there,
Thanks, that is very interesting. I will try to get some more opinions of other doctors and see what they say!

Hi
Looking at your photos, I’d have to agree with Dr Demirsoy’s opinion, your donor does look sub par so yeah increasing your Finasteride dose may help to get it strengthen up a bit, BUT be aware that should your donor improve and you do get an HT procedure done that you will likely have to stay on Finasteride for a long time as lowering the dose dramatically or coming off of it after your HT could leave those transplanted hairs to go weaker.
I definitely think you should go to a reputable HT in your local area to get an in person assessment and consultation of your donor and take it from there, as it may be better than in photos.
Good Luck!
Hi mate,
Thanks for the reply, i will definitely look into that. Yes for some reason some of my pictures look way better than others and even in real life It doesn't seem to look as bad (to me anyway. But maybe I am biased!
My only concern is that I read online that finasteride wont help to improve the density of the donor area because the hair in that region is already resistant to DHI...
Anyway, thank you again!

Yeah it looks below average density and you have extensive thinning. Sorry. Finasteride is a good idea. I take 1/4 Proscar twice a week myself.
Ah ok, thank you for the reply. I think I will increase my finasteride dose (only on 0.25 per day at the moment) and see if that helps 👍

Hi guys,
Contacted some clinics about a HT and one of them said my donor area wasnt good enough yet for a HT (Dr Demirsoy suggested I wait and take finasteride for another 6 months). What do you guys think and have any of you taken finasteride to help donor area with any success?
Thank you!
ps (the other clinics didnt say anything just Dr Demirsoy)

Hi Limeyaz!
I have sent Dr Demirsoy an online consultation. Three days later I received a report from him saying that the closest hour is after 6 weeks. They wait for you 14 days to pay the 500 euro security deposit, unless you lose their hour.
Thank you for the reply and for the information! Im still undecided on who to choose but Dr Demirsoy is in my top 2 I think.
(6 weeks is not so bad also!)
Cheers!

Dr.Demirsoy is charging 1.25 euro per graft
Thank you. Do you know if there is a waiting list to see him? (I heard he only does 1 patient a day, so I was curious to see if there was a long booking time?)
Thanks!

According to many good results from several forums, I decided to transplant my hair in the Armamed clinic in the Turkey, and I already booked an appointment with Dr. Demirsoy in the next month(October).
