    Hi,

In some cases hair treatments and styling products can cause some chemical injury and disturb the cycling of the hair follicle. This means that it could push a follicle in it’s growth part of the cycle (Anagen) to go into a resting stage (telogen) early and start to shed. This is called Acute Telogen Effluvium. Ofcourse it is normal cycling to have upto 100 hairs falling in any given day. If the number is higher, then Telogen effluvium is definitely a possibility and it usually wears out on it’s own and hair restores it’s normal cycling.

Please consult a dermatologist or a hair specialist for a proper assessment and advice.

I definitely don't think that it's higher than 100. I have never noticed more than like 10 hairs falling out at once after a wash. I didn't know that this was normal, it's maybe more noticable because i have curls now?

  2. Alright, Im a male and had a hairperm 2+ months ago. I am really liking the curly perm, but i have noticed that hair falls out every time after i wash it with cold water in the morning.

I take good care of my hair. I have not noticed any bald patches or anything which recedes, there is also no balding in both sides of my family ....

But i have of course been losing hair every day. Is there any cause for worry, or is this normal? Since its kind of making me worried ...
