  1. The thing with good looking A-list celebrities is that they never seem to go bald in the same way the rest of us do. Beckham clearly seems to be thinning but the hairline is intact. My money is on the combination of an earlier FUE + concealer.

Honestly, I would be very surprised if not pretty much all of the big earning celebrities  famous for their looks has done at least something, when starting to age. I mean if your "personal brand" is valued in hundreds and hundreds of millions and you have an entire staff managing your career, the pressure to mesure up to your public persona must be tremendous.

So recently, on this forum there has been speculation in regards to whether or not David has gone under the knife. What do you guys think?

Did David Beckham Have a Hair Transplant?

  2. What are the prices approximately for Feriduni and Hattingen?

Hattingen is not a person, it is a place and the clinic used to be there. The clinic is called Hattingen Hair. They then moved to Schaffhausen in Swizterland on the border with Germany but kept the name when they moved as they had already built a brand using it. The doctors are a husband and wife team - Drs Sever and Laura Muresanu. Before surgery, you mostly deal with Dr Sever. He does the consultations etc. On the day of the surgery (for FUT, I am not sure who does what for FUE), he does the hairline and the strip and Dr Laura does the incisions. The techs take the grafts from the strip and prep them for re-insertion whilst Dr Laura is doing the incisions and then 2-3 techs place them at the same time with a doctor coming in periodically to check on progress. The techs then swap after lunch so they are not tired i.e. you don't have 2-3 techs doing graft placement for 6-8 hours or whatever but 2-3 doing 3-4 hours and and then a different 2-3 doing 3-4 hours. The tech with the least experience there has been with them for 7 years. Very smooth operation and I was very impressed. I can't wait for the 12 month mark to be honest.

To be honest, I hadn't heard of them when I was doing my consultations and was pretty much set on Dr Feriduni but a German speaking poster on here mentioned them as an option to me last year. I did my research and then when Dr Feriduni spoke so highly of them during our consultation together, I set up a consultation with them too and they happened to have a cancellation so I went for it.

The French forum has some videos on there too. Let me know what you think!

  3. Would it be possible to do it in 2-3 separate days after one another, like thursday and friday. I mean just to "get it done" in essentially one go with one healing process and not having to take too much time of work. 3000 grafts the first day and 2000-3000 grafts the second. Or is that not recommended for some reason?

3,500 seems reasonable for the front, I wouldn’t try and do the front and crown at the same time. Honestly, 1,000 grafts in the crown isn’t going to make a significant difference.

  4. I'm a Norwood 4 or possibly very early 5A. After reading on the forum and doing a bit of research it seems like Hansson and Wong are producing very good results in cases similar to mine. But is it is even reasonable to consider them or are the prices impossible? Or are there a huge waiting lists? Has anyone here done a hair transplant with them?

I'm also wondering about airtravel after the surgery. I understand Hansson and Wong are based in Vancouver so it would be quite a flight for me. Is that even advisable or do one have to stay the first week or so?

Are there any comparable clinics in Europe?

  5. Looks great. Can I ask how you are responding to the comments? Are you open with the transplant or do you just say you started using propecia or something similar?

I'm wondering since I'm considering a transplant myself similar to yours and I suppose either one is just open with it, or one has to take a few weeks of work / working at home. If it sheds in the first weeks anyways and grows slowly from there it would look quite natural.
