  1. Hi I used to use the big 3 afew years ago before I had a HT in 2017, I’ve noticed a slight thinning on my crown. Not been keeping up with the latest treatments.

was going to start again on minoxidil foam, fin and nizoral shampoo.

is there any other new ones I should try?

ive read that there’s one called RU58841 with a mix of minoxidil from a UK supplier should give that a go? And if so how much and how often? The website is ligandchem.co.uk

    many thanks

  2. Thanks for the positive replies I’m really happy with the result.

It’s not perfect as it takes some styling to get it right, the transplanted hair is a lot curlier than my native hair but with abit of wax it looks good, obviously that’s not Asmeds fault it’s just the way my hair is.

I take biotin and a multivitamin everyday, I was on Dutasteride but not I have changed to Finasteride as we are trying for a baby. I’ve not experienced any loss since hanging so I’m going to stick with Finasteride from now on.

1-3 month pics are earlier on in the thread.

I didn’t experience any shock loss at all.

It’s certainly the best thing I’ve ever done, I was so worried before I had it done about the outcome and even the surgery itself but the whole experience has been a breeze.

If I need more work in future I will definitely be going back to Asmed

  3. Hello I’ve been on Dutasteride for around 2 years previous to that I was on a finasteride on and off.

I’m currently 7 weeks post FUE HT

Me and my mrs want another baby but I’ve read that Dutasteride can harm an unborn baby.

I was thinking about switching back to finasteride while we conceive a baby.

    Is this nesscessary?

Has anyone conceived a baby whilst on Dutasteride?

    Thanks

  4. Day 11 things are going well upto now, all the scabs have gone now, donor area is healed, still abit itchy but no pain.

Just cut my hair for the first time to try and make it look presentable so I can go out without a hat.

Just got my fingers crossed for the dreaded shockloss of my native hair, how long after a HT do people see shock loss happening?

At what week Can I safely say that if shockloss hasn’t happened it’s unlikely to happen.

    Thanks

  5. Congrats Deb your hair looks great, I’m 1 week post op from ASMED if my results look like yours I’d be happy.

I don’t personally think you need more work doing, is it worth the risk of damaging your existing hair? Anyway it’s your preference so do what makes you happy.

I had a laser comb about 10 years ago from Belgravia but I thought it was abit of a con, do you find it works for you? Might but one again.

Also how long after your op did you start using Nizoral again?

  6. Hello I am just sat in my hotel room after the amazing experience I’ve had st Asmed

I’m 30 years old from the UK been slowly receding since I was around 21 but been on finasteride and for the past 3 years been on dutateride.

Been thinking about a HT for about 3 years but never really believed I would get one done.

When it got to a point of not being able to style my hair how I wanted I decided to look on forums to gain more information about HT’s, I researched a lot and finally decided to go with Asmed as their reviews and results were the best.

I booked back in April 2017 to have the operation on Friday 17th November.

I flew from Uk to Instanbul on Wednesday 15th November with Turkish Airlines, probably the best airline I’ve ever flown with. I landed in instanbul at aroun 18:30 and got picked up by a driver who took me too the Radison Blu hotel which was excellent.

    Consultation

The next day I got picked up from the hotel around 1pm for my consultation I was really nervous about the blood test as I hate injections as pathetic as it sounds ha. Once that was over with I got to meet with Dr Koray Erodgan, he let me draw my hairline on what I wanted and he wanted me to do some temple work aswell but I said I didn’t want that as I’ve never had good temporal peaks even when I was a kid and I want to save as many grafts as I could for the future. I also said I wanted U-FUE and he recommended I have 2400 grafts.

I then met the Anethesatist who was a really nice guy, I explained that I hated needles and he told me not to worry and gave me some Xanax to help me sleep that night and also some for the morning of surgery.

Got back to the hotel and all I could think about was the anaesthetic injections that I would be having the next day as I’d heard some horror stories.

    Day of surgery

Had a decent sleep night before and woke up in the morning didn’t really feel nervous at all, must have been the Xanax ha.

Got picked up at 7am and taken to the clinic, nerves kicked in abit then, got taken into the surgery. The Anaethetist was there and asked how I was, I said I was abit nervous, he asked if I wanted something to chill me out so I said yes why not. He administered this by IV.

They then started on the anaesthetic injections and they were an absolute breeze,’little pin pricks now and then but nothing as bad I was thinking about hardly any pain at all.

The extractions then started which took upto about 1pm.

Then after lunch Dr Koray did the insisions.

After that his team did the implanting which took until about 5pm, again totally pain free.

The whole experience from start to finish as been excellent, I’ve actually enjoyed myself as strange as it sounds ha.

Just want to say thanks to all the staff at Asmed they are all really professional, friendly and hard working.

If I need any further work doing in the future I won’t hesitate to go back there.

    Total donor 7800

    2411 grafts extracted
