I had my HT with Dr Bisanga, 3 months ago (30 Sep 2017). Overall experience with Dr Bisanga was pleasent, friendly staff.

Attaching my preop, postop and 3 month progress photos.

Number of graft : 1800 (approx)

Number of Hair: 3200 (approx)

Medicine : finasteride 1mg, Biotin 5 mg, topical 5%

Will keep you posted with the progress.

I had surgery with Dr Bisanga in 2013.

I spent 2 years researching to make my decision.

Best decision I ever made and I have booked my second surgery with him which is scheduled next week.

All the best for your second transplant. Was your last surgery done in 1 day? Were all the grafts extracted in go from donor area or multiple session? just want to understand out of body time for the grafts.

I am planning for a HT. How many grafts do I need to achieve a fuller front line?

Dr Bisanga seems like a great surgeon imo. His work and ethics seem top notch.

 

You do not seem to have much loss but if you are planning in filling it in, then up to 1500 grafts would be a safe start as long as you get good groupings of hairs based on your donor density imo. Could be less. I wouldnt go past that esp considering you have a lot of native hair. Did you get any recommendations from him? Best thing is to try to keep the surgery short so your grafts are not out of body for a long time. Try to meet some patients with similar loss and goals if you can. Best of luck.

After lot of research I have chosen Dr Bisanga for my receding hairline.Is he the right choice for me, any suggestions welcome?

Also, how many grafts do I need for decent hairline?
