  1. I am not sure if posting another forum is allowed but this story I've read is very interesting. It seems to be way back in 2011.

Got a transplant at a very young age, then transplanted hairs started to decline at the 2 year mark. Another one tend to follow through that he has the same situation.

Another one that seems to have the same problem

Thought hair transplant could be my permanent solution not sure how rare are those cases but I hope someone who have a similar situation could speak up but I guess I have to think more carefully if I have to go for an HT.

I mean... I am effin balding when I am supposed to have strong genes against it.

  2. Are the hairs still intact? I've read an article which said that its not true that hairs on the donor area are immune to DHT but instead since most of the DHT, calcification build up etc are on the top of the head. Overtime the transplants will die of eventually.

It continues to say that inflammation and calcification must be addressed in order to truly cure hair loss.

  3. Thanks for rep. Here it goes

This is my right which is the worst side

How many grafts you think it.will take to fix this? I hope theres option to fix without transplant but Ive done natural cures and it just wasted my time.

  4. I am currently 29 years old. I have no idea when my hair loss started since I used to be in denial. We don't really have a history of balding in any side of the family. Only other person that seems to be balding in our fam is one of my cousin who has some kind of a down syndrome so I am not sure if there could.be an underlying health issue that affects his hair loss.

I am now considering hair transplant since it has gotten so bad, the right side of my hair seems to be norwood 2.5/3 while the left just aggressively receded this Jan after using a Saw Palmetto spray which I never thought could worsen the situation. Left is now probably Norwood 2.

Since I've been seeing that hair loss needs to be stabilized.before going for ht. How would I know when it would stop when there's no one in my fam to be used as reference?

I also dont think I want to wait, since I am not exactly young anymore. I want to squeeze and enjoy the most out of my remaining "younger years". As my hair loss has massively affected me emotionally.

What could be my best option?

  5. Hi, I am living in the Philippines and is currently looking into having a hair transplant after trying to save my hair through natural methods which just doesn't work.

I don't like to go through my life thinking about my hair anymore so I decided to go for an HT.

One of the surgeons that I am currently interested in is MD Theresa Marie Reyes Cacas since she has Hair Restoration Surgery Fellowship by

Damkerng Pathomvanich, MD / DHT Clinic from her portfolio and from what I know MD Damkerng Pathomvanich is one if not the top surgeon out there.

What does it mean to have that in one's portfolio though? Does this mean I can consider her as a good doctor that's an expert with hair restoration?

Don't know that much about her except that she's been interviewed in our local tv once and a member here seems to have done HT with her and has been satisfied with his results.
