  1. ***12 MONTH UPDATE***

It has now almost been 12 months since my procedure. It has improved a bit since 7 months but it is clear that the result not is what I expected/wanted. It is too sparse in my opinion but I'm keen to hear your thoughts? I also still have soreness in the recipient area (sometimes worse and sometimes better). I had a check-up with the surgeon who agreed that the result was not up to expectations and promised to touch it up for free. During the visit the surgeon also said that I still have redness and signs of mild irritation/inflammation and prescribed me Clobex. He also said that the inflammation could be the reason for the poor growth and if treated the transplanted grafts could come up. I tried Clobex but my Seb derm worsened (note; I didn't have Seb Derm before the surgery). I have instead been using Nizoral every day which has helped. I visited a scalp dermatologist who wasn't too concerned about my scalp-health but confirmed the redness and instead ordered me to continue with the Nizoral but to add Diprosalic. Interestingly the dermatologist told me i have a lot of miniature hairs in my recipient area and that I should revisit using Regain.

  2. I had a 3000 graft FUE hair-transplant with one of the top FUE-doctors (highly recommended by across the forum etc) and I've now reached 7months since the procedure. I'm not happy at all and had hoped for much better growth. I wanted to check with you guys what you think? After 7months can I really hope for a denser result or is this a failed HT?

Please see attached pictures pre-op, directly after, 6months and 7months.

  3. Dear all, I am 27years old and have been thinking of HT since I was 22 (obviously too young). I started using Minoxidil but have moved to only using Finasterid since 2 years back. My hair loss has since then stabilised and as I have no side-effects I will continue with the 5mg a day. I have now 100% decided to go for a FUE and I have enough savings in my "HT account" that price is not a problem. What matters to me is really the best result possible with the best surgeon and I am willing to travel for that.

Very recently I was at a consultation in London (where I live) and even though it was at the top three clinic I didn't get the best feeling out of it. Maybe I am just overly skeptical by nature. That's why I am doing a more thorough research for the best place to go. I am in NW2-NW3 state and I was quoted 2000 grafts (for about 9000 pounds). I was also told I have perfect donor area with great quality and that I could expect results with high success rate. Obviously this is only one surgeon's opinion...

I am now looking for advise on which surgeon to choose from. From what I've read so far these seem to be the top? But what is there difference between them? Does it matter which one I choose as they all proabably have the same success rate?

    - Dr Feriduni

    - Dr Mwamba

    - Dr Erdogan

    - Dr Bisanga

    - Dr Lorenzo

Question: Do you recommend doing in-person consultations with above surgeons? How long is the waiting time usually for procedure/consultation?

    many thanks
