Hi,

I have this scar on my face (please see attached pictures) which i received when i was a baby,

I received a proposition to do the operation in turkey for 2500 EURO for about 1000-1500 grafts in one session of 4-5 hours.

Transplant 50-55 Grafts per square centimeter on beard.

The donor area is to be the back side of head, NOT the beard.

Does it all sounds fine from your experience?

if i perform a fue treatment and i am not satisfied with the result (suppose the density is too low), is it possible to perform another treatment on the same area?

I think Beard FUE would be an excellent way to help cover the scar. Typically we can get anywhere from 300-500 beard FUE grafts in a session. Because you have scaring also in the underside of the beard where we typically take the hair from, we would probably only get 200 -300 grafts. We could also take scalp FUE to supplement that.

 

 

It is most likely going to take more than one session to really blend in the area. After one session of FUE into the scar, oftentimes the skin become more normal and softer. May goal for you would be to evenly place graft on the side and underside of your chin. That way, after shaving you would have a more even shadow.

How many sessions do you are required in my case?

I am planning to perform the operation not in my country so I would like to minimize the session count...

Also, do I need to insist on beard area as the donor or it is not critical?

At first glance, what stands out to me that may make your case complicated is that your surrounding facial hair seems to be extremely dense/full. For that reason, it may be difficult to match that density with transplanted hairs, but that's something that a qualified surgeon can address when/if you set up a consultation with them.

 

That said, it's definitely worth looking into, as these types of procedures are possible. You can find lots of cases on this site by recommended surgeons who do beard transplants.
