  1. Okay, I guess I am venting and this was the ideal place to get some feedback.

On May 12, 2009 had 2,700 grafts (1,400 1's and 1,300 2's) about 2,000 grafts in the front and 700 in the back. So roughly 4,000 hairs.

The doctor was from the http://www.hairtransplantnetwork.com that has been highly recommended on this site. Dr Kenneth Siporin in Los Angeles

I do still have hair and wanted to start early to cover the bald spots and not make it more noticeable later on where my hair loss gets worse. I am certain I will have another one done in a year or so.

Because I have hair, it's hard for me to tell if 4,000 hairs really got transplanted and I guess I am being impatient and not really believing that 4,000 hairs was done. This is ridiculous, but I almost want to count them.

    Has anyone felt this way?

Is this the stressful part wanting the hair to grow over night, I have read this forum and it looks like it takes time and patience.

    Current regimen:

1.25 mg Proscar every day (Actavis generic) paid $5 with insurance for 30 tablets..wow..I scored on that

Rogaine 5% Foam - twice daily

Tricomine Shampoo and Conditioner twice a day

  3. Thanks Bill for the link for the recommended physicians. I went and saw Dr. Siporin today (May 11, 2009) and was blown away from how he treats his patients and talks to them more about what goals are realistic than how many grafs will work.

There was an opening on May 12,2009 (due to a cancellation) for surgery and I took it, I guess it was meant to be or great timing. From all the recommendations I have read about him and talking to him and his staff I think he will establish the goal I want and I am confident that he will do a great job.

  4. I have seen bosley (this place has all the whistles and bells, and will make you look like a king, but way to expensive, they have a huge overhead and lots of bills to pay as I see they advertise like crazy)

I also went and saw Dr. Richard Ochs in Beverly Hills ??“ I spent about a one hour with him and he was informative and those not have that luxurious offices, employees and infomercials. This is why he can charge $2 a graft. Saw most of his work online and seems legitimate.

My next step is to see Dr. Kenneth D. Siporin - http://www.drsiporin.com and Michael Meshkin - http://www.hairtrans.com

Anyone have feedback for the doctors I mentioned above? Would greatly appreciate it.

Have you considered Dr. Ross in La Jolla?

  5. I just realized how hard and complicated this procedure would be. I have gone to two doctors. The price range I see is between $2 - $5 a graf. I want about 3,000 - 3,500 grafts. The more surgeons I see, the more confused I get because I get another price. I believe that price should not be a factor, I have read some posts that a $2 - $5 graf do great job and some do terrible work. Any suggestions? I have attached a recent photo on the work that I need.
