Hi Valgreats,
Why you are writing such BS? Could you please provide a reliable source of your info?
Thanks!
Just google this. These problems are well documented.

You would be a good candidate for PRP, but it can be quite expensive. Shop around.
-
Just be careful. Some Turkey clinics have patients lined up in a room with Syrian refugees doing the work. No, I am not being sarcastic.
There are good clinics. Go with a clinic where the doctor does the work.

Pretty frustrating having consultants tell me what I need rather than the doctor himself. I understand the value of consultants, but I crossed off any doctor who would not communicate with me directly on the details.
-
I would not go with an FUT. The scar will show.

You can pretty much put anything on the donor site. Aloe Vera helped me.

My doc did the extractions with an assistant. You want a doctor who does the extractions with a tech. The doctor should do all the slits. Techs almost always do the placement.

I have read the medical literature. The risk of side effects are low. But, you can potentially have permanent damage in your sexual function. Not worth the risk in my opinion.
Consider a rollercoaster. If one out of 1000 people died, would you ride it? Even if 999 had a great time.

I am spraying my head with a mist water bottle. Seems to work.

Dr Yazdan in Orange County does great work. He will give a straight answer on if you need a transplant.
-
I bumped my head in recipient area the day after my transplant. I had bleeding which is now a scab. What do I do now?

Does laser therapy work? Should I buy a Cappilus?

Any recommendations for the LA area? FUE only.

Thanks.
I paid $12k for this, and only got a shaved head out of it. Procedure was about 8 hours. I slept through most of it. Valium and Versed. On the plus side, I don't have any scarring. I don't know the grouping. I will ask.
Do doctors ever refund the money?
This was a SoCal doc who had all the "right" credentials.

Thanks for the replies. 2000 should be enough as I was a 3V, with little frontal recession. It does seem that there are some people who grow later. Another doctor told me that if there is none at 10 months it is a failure. Fingers are crossed

Yes ISHRS doctor. We will see if he backs his results. He wants to meet at the nine month point.
The hairline is very slow, but is growing. Nowhere close to what I have seen compared to others at 6 or 7 months, but there is some hair. My hairline has some recession, but was not really that bad. I chose to have a transplant because of my bald spot on the crown, which still show no growth.
If the crown lags the hairline by six months, then I will just to wait in see if I get any growth.
At this point, I do not look like I had a hair transplant. I look like a guy who shaved his head in the summer for the heck of it.

Thanks for the responses. I will wait until a year. It is extremely frustrating, as most sites say expect about 70% at 7 months. I am attaching a photo I took today. I honestly don't see any improvement. On the positive side, my hair does not look any worse, and I do not have thinning of the donor region. I would appreciate any thoughts on the matter.

Thank you all for the responses. If I don't end up having growth, should I get another surgery? Or do some people just now grow?
I have to admit I am very frustrated. I can live with a bald spot, but it is really hard to deal with when I spent $12K, had to shave my head, and missed two weeks of work for nothing. I really saved up for this. There are a lot of things I could have done with that money.

1300 crown 700 front. No growth on crown, I mean literally no growth. Slight growth on hairline, which was not too bad in the first place. I did this primarily for the crown.
-
I have no improvement in my crown. Over 7 months. Any chance I will have growth? Seems like a big waste of money. FUE. I'm over 50. At least I don't look worse. I just don't to look a monk.
Is it worth it to try a second round with another doctor, or do some people just have no growth? Non smoker. No illnesses or meds.
I read I should have 80% at 8 months. I certainly would never recommend hair transplants based on my results.

California. I don't want to name the doctor currently as I want to give it a chance. I was told I should wait until a year. I'm just concerned, that the procedure did not work. I have read that at seven months there should be 70%. My hairline area shows some very minor improvement. My main problem has been my crown.
Advice needed!

You really don’t know how to use Google? Do you have a special education teacher who can show you?
