Why would you show the unflattering photos of clients immediately after having undergone the procedure?

Doesn't seem like a good marketing move to me.

You can see how potential clients will be confused, thinking that this is the final outcome look.?

I give MarkWeston kudos for answering all questions here. I honestly think that is admirable. But if I look on the website to see the results I think the quality of his work is less than admirable. All other SMP/MHP providers require clients to come back multiple times for a reason.

  2. Don't really have good before pica's here... Made these the day before. Very diffuse. My donor hair is very thick though.

I had some grafts putt in the crown but clearly not enough to get it covered. Honestly I don't care too much about the crown anymore. Maybe in the future. I hope that I could preserve what I have now and in the future maybe can putt some more density in. Quite happy as it is. when its wet it looks shitty but hey, thats a HT I guess. Also as my sides and back are really dense and with thick hairs I have to keep it short otherwise it looks silly. But thickness might give a possibilty to really increase the results.

Even my mom thinks I am more handsome with hair than shaven ;)

As for the hairline, the hairlines I establish are based on the original lost hairline with an "age adjustment." I am clear about this even before I accept someone as a client. If they insist on a hairline other than their natural one or demand that it be dropped down below the natural one, I decline them as a client.

One view at your website's gallery proves the complete opposite to your statement. Just looks really awful imo

  4. LT, Just feckin shave it! Bald is always better then balding. Shave, implant or SMP would be the only options for me. I will never wear a hairpiece or Dermatch personally.

When you shave your head you cannot bother anymore how your hair looks, just how your head looks. If you are ugly with hair, you will be ugly without... Life can be simple.

  5. Thank you!

Usually with 3000-3500 grafts you can get what you have written. However you must keep your hair very short, otherwise the difference of density will be noticed.

Another problem are the fue scars..

I think it's best to proceed with smp only and use an anti-shine cream.

    Thanks Mirko,

In your opinion, how short does your hair need to be? I currently buzz it 2-3mm anyway. Would that be too long?

I am a diffuse thinner so still have quite a few hairs on top. Did a 2800 FUE all over the scalp and am on Fina & Procapil.

I would like to be able to keep it 2-3mm as I am a lazy F%$#^R. In this case I only have to buzz it twice a week.

Looking forward to your answer! Where are you based?

  6. I'll tell you in 6-9 months. On other forums, in other languages, other doctors and clinics are recommended or more popular. There are also a lot of advisors on this forum who are linked to certain clinics/doctors. Be aware of that as well. This doesn't mean that they aren't honest.

Do your research. Don't limit yourself to one website or one clinic and choose carefully. Consider to travel for quality and lower prices.

  7. If you search the internets you can find some results. But there are not too many (yet). SMP is not so widely known I think this might be the reason. Personally I would not touch a hairpiece but that is everyone to its own.

Personally I would never do FUT. The recovery time is much longer and I like to buzz my hair short and I also would keep the possibility of shaving it completely. FUT seems to be an American procedure mostly as you hardly see it here in Europe / Turkey. Don't limit your options to only Canada / USA but have a look at Europe / Turkey as well. You will save a lot of money!

But before you do any of it. Why don't you shave it all off, or buzz it with no clip? You seem to be blessed with the right head shape to pull it off. See for a few weeks how you like it. You could always do SMP (with or without a small FUE) later. But you will be destined to keep it very very short anyway.

    Good luck mate!

  8. Nice Work Mirko!

I have a question for you. Say one is a NW6 (I'm afraid I end up there). How many grafts would you need in an SMP / FUE combination in order to reduce the shine and to provide a realistic feel? I understand it is different from person to person but roughly for your average Joe (Or Andrea ;) )

What is your opinion on a FUE / SMP combo?

  9. At three weeks I would advise you use a guard.

Your doner and recipient areas will still be tender and sore to the harsh touch, so unless you have sadomasochist tendencies and revel in your own pain, I would probably play it safe with a guard, say a no.3 or 4.

After 3-4 months it's probably time to let it grow out as it will hopefully grow uniformly with your native hair.

Thanks for your answer. My donor is not sore anymore but my recipient is indeed still sensitive. I am not that into SM, if I was I don't think this is the appropriate forum!!;)

Just to make sure we are on the same side. Guard 3/4, do you mean 3mm and 4mm? Most guys here are from the states so I want to be absolutely clear. I am planning to buzz it next tuesday before I go back to work. I will be at 3,5 weeks by then.

    cheers

  10. Dear Doctors and otherwise experts,

After a FUE procedure you will enter the ugly duckling fase. I am in it, almost 3 weeks now. I would like to buzz it all off, with or without a guard. and let it grow after 3 or 4 months.

My question is. When is it safe to buzz your hair after a FUE procedure?

When searching online and ask the clinic I went to the timespan varies between roughly two weeks to 3 months.

Is it better to do with or without a guard or does it not matter?

    Thanks for your inputts!

  11. Hi Guys,

What is your view on FUE in combination with SMP/MHP? I am planning on this combo for numerous reasons but especially as I like to keep my hair short. Let's say you are a NW4/5 or have diffuse thinning that eventually will bring you even to a NW6+. How many grafts would you need roughly nailed into your scalp to create a real feeling of a buzzed haircut when you combine it with SMP? As you still have (transplanted) hairs could you get away with longer hair (e.g. 2 - 5 mm (apologies for using the metric system but dividing 2,54 by 8 is too difficult for a fool like me)) compared to SMP guys that are completely bald on top?

I have recently done 2800 grafts divided over all three part, and although I wouldn't mind having another procedure done in the future, I would like to "buy time" using SMP and keep it buzzed. I also don't fancy staying on fina indefinately.

Some say you can achieve the same result with half the grafts when you combine it with SMP. What is your opinion?

I have a consult in a few weeks with an SMP provider. Which questions should I not forget to ask?

What would be your main advantages / disadvantages for combining FUE with SMP?

Personally my hope is that the combo can work miracles as you can create the density with the SMP and the feel / 3d effect with the FUE. And you can keep your donor reserves for later.

    Thanks guys!
