  1. I have a question for the experts:

I am at my 6 months milestone after HT. I always had a straight and smooth hair. The new hair growing is different from my existing hair. It is curlier and less smooth. Even when I am washing my hair I can feel the difference in texture when I move from the existing hair to the transplanted hair. Is it normal? Will the transplanted hair smooth out back the way was before?

    Thanks

  3. I have some doubts about a second procedure. I don't want to demage the hairs that I just got during the insertion of more grafts in between the recent transplanted hairs. Do you have any insight about what could happen to the new transplanted hairs during the second procedure?

    Thank you

It looks like things are coming along for you at 6 months.

I will say, in looking at your postoperative photos, it doesn't look like there is going to be a lot of density given the number of grafts placed over a large balding area. Are you anticipating undergoing additional procedures to give you the density and coverage you're looking for?

Keep us posted on your progress.

    Best wishes,

i dont know, i may be wrong,i do know HT works,

even i have also gone thru HT and in 6 months.

and do have same sort of result as you have.

but what i dont know is if u plant numbers of Grafts, how many actually will grow back? people say 90% how we can be sure u and me we did actually had 90% grown grafts. or is it 6 months we havnt achived the full result yet? more the see ? dont know.

  5. Yes, that is correct....regardless of the final result, I am already happier than before. It was worth every penny.

  7. I agree, I need more density to be out of the bold world.

Still you have to wait for two to three months.Surgery seems good but Doc try to covered your large area and put more density on the front and less on the back.He should use equal density.Anyway keep us updated till your final results.Uptill now results are not impressive.

  8. I am not on any meds because I didn't have any existing hair on the transplant area to keep. It seems that most of my grafts were ones or twos.

    Thanks for your comment

  9. I really appreciate the sincerity. I don't want to hear a bunch of fake compliments. We are here to exchange experiences and frustrations. I am pretty happy with my appearance today comparing to the level of baldness I had before.

Thank you all for your support

  10. It's been 4 months from my HT also. You can look at my blog and compare. We received about the same number of grafts. (+- 2800). But it is impossible to make any comment on your progress without a pre-op pic.

  11. I was born in Brazil and I go there very often. A ticket to Brazil cost about US $ 600.00 round trip with all fees. One week hotel accommodations

US $ 500.00 dollars. If the difference in price from the US doctors to doctor Tykocinski makes up for the US $ 1,100.00 dollars, could be a good deal.

  12. The main reason I chose to have a smaller session was because I used to have a skin condition on my scalp called Linchen Planos. The skin condition no longer exists but it left a red scar on my scalp. I went to see two dermatologists prior to the HT procedure and neither one guarantied that I was a good candidate for HT. So, my HT was done in a trial basis. If it works, I sure will go for a second session as large as possible. If does not work, it was a risk that I was willing to take. However, the risk taking thing makes me more anxious about the results.

Thank you guys for the comments!!!

One question I have, for quite a severe degree on the Norwood scale, is there any specific reason why a larger session was not performed?
