It is topical Minoxidil with some other ingredinets for absortion purposes. I have been using it for abou 2.5 weeks and I'm actually starting to see little hairs on my head. HOwever I hear that MInoxidil will a lot of the times grow thins wipsy hairs that never to mature.

What are your thoughts?

What happens to the scar is there two of them or do they cut out a strip above or below and extend the scar? How would you hide a double scar it seems like it would be huge?

Even if the first few weeks post op there was no alcohol consumed? Alcoholics usually have crappy hair quality so is it possible? What are your thoughts

They grow out just fine but the hair is almost transparent. I work in a big building with multiple bathrooms with different lighting in many of them, sometimes I can see the transplanted hair and sometimes it just flat out disappears! I will try to upload a photo after work

I am about 8 months post op restoring my hair line. I have what looks like baby hair and under the light you can't see it but if I look in a car window on a cloudy day my hair looks dark enough to easily see, is that normal?

being as that means you have quite a bit of blood flow to those new follicles increasing the chances of more follicles growing?

what are your thoughts

would I be at risk at being one of those who takes extra long to have the hair mature? I had my hairline completely restored as it was virtually gone, I have lighter hair and light skin and at 7 months now I see quite a bit of hair but it is incredibly think and transparent looking. Is this because I have light hair to begin with? I have noticed on cloudy days and looking at a car window for example I can clearly see the hair better than any light or mirror

I am 6 month post of, I didn't see any hair all until the 4 month. I still have new hair coming in too so hopefully it will darken soon?

I can see in pictures on here that dark hair post op seems much more noticeable in photos, I have lighter hair in general so in the light my new hair just disappears but if it is cloudy outside then you can see it clear as day. Is this normal for people with light hair post op?

It is my first procedure, I am a NW 6 roughly and had my hairline restored as it was virtually gone

I only had some growth and it was really light and couldn't really even be seen in a photo, I was getting worried but now in the middle of month 5 there is hair sprouting everywhere. It is still hard to notice because it is so short but I am excited for a good result again!

Even my father, one of the very few people who know about my procedure said he was getting worried because he couldn't really see anything but didn't want to say anything to scare me even more. Him admitting that so suddenly makes me realize there are some good things going on up there.

what are your thoughts

Being as that will likely be the month you will see the most growth?

I apologize I must have been confused of my timeline in my older threads. Right now I am exactly 5 months and 2 days post op

It gets better up to 18 months. If youbare talking about very sparse growth, I dont think I have seen a complete turn around after 9 and a half.

It is sparse right now but I do see some new hair every few days, I really have to press my face to the mirror to see though lol. They are just sooo transparent! I hope it is just because of my natural hair color

I am close to 5 months post op and though I see miniature hairs sprouting they are so little and short. I look at albums at people at 5-6 months and you can blatantly see all of the new hair even though the pigment isn't quite there yet. I can only see the tiny hairs under certain light and you could never tell by a photo. I am not panicking yet but I am starting to worry

I can see little hairs sprouting, my question is will they grow as fast as my beforehand hair? I know they take time to gain pigment, just wondering about how it grows

No I don't think so because look at it this way...if the procedure involved 2,000 grafts and 20 grafts were lost, that's only 1% and believe me, no procedure has a 99% yield.

 

In addition, losing the bulb is not the same as losing a graft.

is there an easy way to tell the difference? For some reason I can't get the OP's pic to enlarge. The hairs I shed later on had a little bulb on it like the ones at the beginning.

It looks like a dead graft to me and nothing to worry about since it is only one. If there were lots of these that came out, then it would be an entirely different situation.

is it bad if that happens? I had a few fall out around 3.5 months probably 10-20 bulbs over a 10 day period

nice, I am 3.5 months post op and in certain lights I can definitely see tiny light little hairs about a centimeter or two long! What an exciting time I don't have any clue how the end result will be but I'm glad to see the process is still on track

Is it really fine and light and hard to see?

I hope it's not permanent
