  1. It's a pretty poor show from ALL the posters who have suffered this pain not to name the doctors responsible.

We are grown up enough to realise it might be the patient rather than the doctor but if the posters had the integrity to name the doctors we could see a pattern.

As someone who is very near to undergoing a HT not knowing who is responsible for thi is very worrying.

  2. Thanks for the detailed answers, I really appreciate the time you took to do it.

I think I would err on the safe side and wait the three months as I don't think I could cope if I thought I hadn't done everything possible to encourage hair growth after a HT.

I think I might try and push my plans forward a bit to coincide with the end of this season, I am 44 and haven't got many seasons left in me so three months maximum which I can fit in in the off season is good news.

    Thanks again.

  3. Hi,

One of my big concerns about getting a HT is how long would I have to stop playing football.

I play 5 a side football once a week which doesn't involve much heading but my biggest passion is 11 a side league football which is a big part of my life.

I know I would have to stop for a few months at least but just how many?

I have thought about it and no matter how hard I tried not to there would be times when I would have to head the ball and I can imagine what damage heading a ball at full power would do to any transplant.

Anyone who has ever headed a match ball will know just how hard they are.

I know this might sound trivial to some but for me it is a big factor in when I could get one.

I suppose my question is when is the cut off point when the hair is totally locked in?

  4. I'm currently researching Fue doctors and I am seriously considering Dr Lorenzo..His results with fine hair are nothing short of remarkable..

He ticks all the boxes I'm looking for (except price)but he is probably the best in the world,so I don't mind paying a bit extra for quality work..

So here is my dilemma..I have had my mid scalp and crown replaced fue with another leading doctor I'm very happy with the results..I now need my temple points hairline and front third done looking at about 2500 grafts all up..

I want to go with Lorenzo but his hairlines are way to conservative and I can't find any patient that has had temple points done by him..

Does anyone know if Dr Lorenzo does temple points and hairlines that are more straight and not so the receding look hairline?..I'm trying to avoid the curved hairline look..Thanks

Hi, What are his prices please or is there somewhere I can get a rough idea?

  5. I would obviously prefer it done here but it does seem a lot more expensive here than other places and I'm starting to consider travelling further afield.

I am ideally looking for a very good surgeon at a reasonable price but money isn't my main concern although it is one of them.

Travelling to the US wouldn't be a problem or obviously anywhere in europe.

    Any advise would be welcome.

  6. Hi Bill,

No disrespect at all to the work you do here, and your forum has helped me immensly. I also don't dispute your high standards for recommended surgeons. This is just my own opinion based on my own experience and research. I'm more than happy to add the disclaimer when I make these types of statements. I have consulted with all of the recommended surgeons and don't dispute that they are not highly competent and produce solid results, therefore can understand why they are recommended by the site (and don't take exception to the recommendations). However, I myself have seen a select few surgeons that have raised the bar and seem (to me) to be producing consistently more knock-out wow factor high quality results. I know at some point I should probably post pics to add credibility (however I respect my 1st surgeon), but I myself had a procedure with a recommended surgeon who in my opinion produced a very good result, but for my subseequent procedure, I researched more, and identified these elite even better surgeons, some of which have already been critical of the work produced by the 1st surgeon. Once again, he did a good job in my opinion, but I also know that if I had gone with one of the elite surgeons, the result would probably have been even better. That all I am trying to convey to these posters, and I wish when I was researching my 1st procedure, more posters would have advised me to keep looking for the even better elite surgeons that I subsequently identified. You yourself had a procedure with Dr True, a recommended surgeon, but then switched to Dr Hasson for your next ones. I'm sure you have your reasons, but I can only assume its because you felt Dr Hasson could do a better job for you than Dr True, even though Dr True remains highly competent. Thats really all I am trying to say here, there are a handful of surgeons on your list that are consistently producing more top quality results than others. Once again, my own opinion.

    Hi Stig,

Could you tell me who these elite doctors are please?
