  1. I am about 2 1/2 weeks post Ht and the doc and staff were great but it is quite a bit worse than I expected as far as shock loss and I am just now really not in any pain as my donor area really hurt for awhile. When does the hair from shock start to come back or when does the shock loss end?

  2. Thank you so much.I completely agree with you that in all of the research I had done prior to the HT it had very much been downplayed as far as pain and HT in general. I have basically all the same issues as you seemed to have had. I am glad to know that I am not alone. I called the docs office and they said that everything I am experiencing is normal so I will just keep my fingers crossed. I know some people go through this more than once but for me I must say I would rather have someone else's hair donated as that is the worst part I think.

  3. I am a 32 year old woman and I had HT 6 days ago. I was shocked by just how much pain I have been in, in the donor area. I was not prepared for that as most of what I have read says many people go back to work the next day or so.I thought I had a high tolerance for pain as I previously had 2 C-sections and that was a breeze compared to this. The transplanted area really doesn't bother me but my head still feels tremendously tight and more pain than expected in the donor area still. When does this and the tightness let up?

  5. I am 32 and considering a hair trnsplant becasue I am losing the hair on the top front rapidly now. I do have a high testosterone level as the high level is common with the women in my family. The rest of my hormone levels are normal.Am I still a good candidate for hair transplant? If I am understanding it correctly the DHT in me is the problem?

  6. I am a 32 year old female planning on a hair transplant as hair loss is herditary for me form both sides of my family. Also teh females in my family have high testosterone levels which is a big part of my balding problem. My biggest concern is the shockloss. Does anyone else have or had a problem with this? What should I expect. ALso if I lose hair from shockloss and gain it from the transplant I am basically back to where I started with the same amount of hair, right?
