Hey guys. I'm approaching 5 months and it looks like little prickles...really sparse. Itching like crazy.

Have you considered asking Erdogan to maybe break it up like my surgeon is doing? I will fly back to Istanbul to have another 2500 grafts to complete the entire thing 8 months later. (Total 5500) Plus ask him about platelet therapy. I've read it helps greatly!

I think the patient actually went to his office. Do you live in Turkey AW?
This is all very interesting. I sent my photos to Erdogan and he declined my surgery. He said I didn't have enough hair. I was in shock because my American doctors told me I was the perfect candidate. So I see now why he said that. He wants extreme results with tons of grafts.
I wonder if this is a money thing? Like he's not going to make a decent profit from 2500?
Honestly, I'm very happy I landed with Ozyigit.

I've heard nothing but good stuff about Erdogan so I assume you are in good hands. But it still seems like over kill to me. Plus 5000 grafts in two days is very taxing to your donor site. That's why it makes me wonder if you don't need a second opinion.

I hate putting my two cents in because I'm no expert but I have read that you shouldn't do 5000 grafts in one sitting. Check out Turker Ozyigit. He is doing a two part transplant on me (because I'm balder than you) and he uses platelet therapy.
Help guys…..totally confused!!

I encourage you to check out my story on my profile. I reached out to Erdogan before finding my surgeon. I didn't have a positive response from him.
I ended up choosing a plastic surgeon in Istanbul and I couldn't be happier with the results. Turkey is a mine field of different "centers" and some of the people performing hair transplants are GM's and not surgeons (which is illegal there). Some are something called "Hair Transplant Technicians" which is even worse. They have no medical training.
My process had to be broken into two surgeries (three if you count the botched job I had done in California)...so I am not done but I'm very proud of the current results.
Good luck and don't be scared to take the plunge once you find the right doc for you. Just make sure he's a licensed surgeon...not just a general practitioner or hair tech.
