  1. I'm putting this here because I fear that I wouldnt get many responses in the SMP thread because there is not many active there.

After getting through some arguments and ''fights'' on this forum that has made me think, I have come to the conclusion that I'm not and will never be a candidate for hair transplant. I'm 19 and have lost way too much for my age and my donor hair is simply not good enough.

My solution now: SMP. I'm thinking about getting SMP in Gothenburg this summar and I want to get some tips by the experienced guys on here on when i should book a time? Is it too early to call them now and say I want one for the summer or what? Second thing is: Should I go for the straight hairline or slightly thinning hairline? Thanks!

At first I didn't like the thought of smp, but after a lot of research I'm really starting to think if it's done correctly, it's absolutely amazing. Probably even a better option than HT.

  2. You are fooling no one but yourself, there is absolutely nothing natural about hair transplants, make no mistake about it, you have this belief that HT's solve hair loss but that is nothing further from the truth, I've tried many times to explain it to you but this will be my last time after this your life your decision.

Okay male pattern baldness is not a stagnant condition, like any illness its progressive and only gets worse with age, you're still a teenager but you are already extensively bald. The average person is born with 50,000 follicular units, the top of the head has roughly 25,000 follicular units before balding. You may not even have 5,000 follicular units that is permanent to transplant, there is no way you can replace 25,000 with 5,000 and make it look how it was before. Additionally, there is no guarantee those 5,000 grafts would even grow.

You are unhappy about being bald correct? Well how would you feel if you had a transplant and the result was the picture I've posted, it's a real possibility that your sides will drop, and if you have a transplant in the next 5 years this could be you when you're in your 30's. A hair system is 100x more natural looking than that. NO BODY and I mean NO BODY can predict your pattern with certainty most definitely not in your teens or early 20's, even if you wait to 25 that's pushing it, I experienced the most hair loss from 25-29. Fair warning, if you'd rather shave your head than do it, shaving your head has no risk and is natural, ultimately accepting being bald will save you thousands of dollars and potential heart ache, every botched transplant patient I've ever seen has been someone who had an HT in their early to 20's and yes they still happen, I know a member on this board who's a repair patient in his 20's who went to a top notch clinic.

Without the use of preventive medication then this could really happen to you, at some point of this guys life when he was in his 20's his transplant was covering the only balding areas he had, once he became older the crown opened up sides dropped and this disaster happened, I still fear this happening to me and I'm taking every preventive medicine I can tolerate and I'm a lot older than you, hair transplants do not cure hair loss they do not stop hair loss they do not create new hair, you are simply moving existing hair from one place to another nothing more, if there is not enough hair and you've already started the process then you're in trouble.

You had a HT in your 20s/30s, aren't you afraid that your sides will drop and you will lose furyher more?

  3. I feel you man, I'm 22 years old and started losing my hair when I was 15.5, my father noticed that my crown was thinning when i was sitting, he took me to the doctor and since then my nightmare has began, The doctor looked at my father (Norwood 7), and said there's nothing i can do, i took propecia when I was 16.5, minoxidil twice a day, nothing did not help me, I started searching online, my english is not my first language and it took awhile until it got better, it was very hard for me to understand but i was browsing each day for over 4 hours on forums of HT, Hair systems etc, i started using toppik when i was 16 - 21, i did not swim for 5 years, i gaveup on many things in my life just to have "Hair", nobody knew i was losing my hair, not even my ex who was with me for 3 years, (I woke up every morning 1 hour earlier just to take a shower and reapply the toppik), it started getting wrose when i was 21 and i had to find a solution, after long re-search of HT i understood it was not the right thing for me for few reasons :

1.I was young, and im heading to norwood 7 like my father, there is no way in the world i could have full head of hair with my hairloss, So i did a lot of research about hair systems, i went to salon in my country, paid 2800$, my hair was always pretty short so i wanted them to attach it without shaving it first just to see how it would look, it looked so bad, with super high destiny just like a dead cat on my head, i asked to throw it away, i paid the money and got nothing, but again - I did not giveup, i did some research for few weeks and found a good factory that producing those hair systems for wayyyy cheaper, i bought a custom one I have chose the destiny, kind of base etc etc, I also decided to cut it my self, I knew the only way to be 100% happy is if everything will be done by me, unfurtaneltly i ruin the first one, also the second one, even the forth one... (I did all this after my gf broke up with me, that's also when my hair got way worst), thanks god i have a support family, they gave me up, especially my mother who did not want to me to go bald like my father :P

my 5th system, I did cut it down perfectly and actually copied the hair i had with toppik, i'm wearing for 2 years, fucked over 20 girls, my gf wants me back for almost a year, i started going hard on gym, thanks to my hairloss I opened 2 kinds of business, hair fibers business and I also supply hair systems to hair salons in my country, i lost many of my years as a teenger, but i knew that i prefer to die instead of being bald, and all the hard works, all the fear, all the stress in the end, it was worth it.

I'm sorry that I wrote so many words and I know it's not easy to understand with my english, i just want to tell you that i was in your stage, we are about the same age, i can tell you for sure that hair transplant is not the right thing for you right now (I consider HT my self in 2 years) just for my hairline so i can expose it without fear like with Hair system, but now it's not the time, i think if hair is really important for you, you should give a try to hair systems, i can help you with what ever you need, it took me a lot of time until i understood the kind of bases, what to order, how to attach, what kind of glue\tape is right for me, but in the end, it's worth it, i'm wearing as i have mentioned for 2 years, i swim, i go to pool partys, i sleep with woman, i do what ever I want, none of my friends (Except one that i have told him im wearing, and he still can't see what im talking about), nobody suspect a thing, i wear thin skin (Not lace), which is also impossible to feel when touch, it's like a scalp, the only difference between this and real hair is 0.08 MM and attachment that you have to do your self once a week which takes 1 hour including shower.

Here's some photos with my hair system, i like short style, I also think it's more natural for me, so if you need any kind of help of anything, i can help you like hundreds of people helped me

So man, anything you need i'm here and will help you all the way.

I feel you bro. I just want a HT because it's the natural hair that will be transplanted. I'm not into hair system and SMP bullshit, because then I will feel like I'm pretending to be somebody I'm not, therefore I'd rather be bald than using systems and things because I still wanna do things without ppl realizing it's not my natural hair. But if youre personally happy with it, then so be it.

Btw, it looks like you've come a long way in your hair loss so why have put a HT on hold?

  4. Consumers have the option and freedom to go with whatever surgeon they choose.

Even in this day and age with all the information out there, there are still still those who choose Bosley for example.

Also some people like to be "rogues" and try to prove others wrong by going with an unknown doctor, others just simply are not interested in listening to advice, and there are also those who think hair transplants are like buying a used car where they look for the best "deal" (often a big mistake).

The smarter patient will spend time to arm himself with knowledge and facts through careful searching of forums like this one which has a wealth of actual patient results and experiences going back several decades.

HRN is really an oasis in an otherwise unmanaged industry.

The surgeon recommendation process while not always 100% fail-proof is at least a step in the right direction.

Ask yourself: (1) which doctors are recommended on this site? -> (2) among those which ones have the best results and fewest patient complaints? (you can put them into a tier ranking system for example, Tier 1,2 and 3)

Those two steps alone will get you to a very decent place in the surgeon decision making process.

Where do i find recommended doctors on this forum?

  5. When I'm reading this forum, everybody who is considering ht is looking for good and experienced doctors with good reputation. But on other social media apps such as facebook and instagram, I see a lot of people who has got HT with unkown clinics and doctors, and I just wonder how their result have been? Anyone who's been to not so popular clinics and has got good result(s)?

  6. First, sorry you are going through this. I was 19 when my MPB started and it was just terrible.

Second, clearly you are getting some different opinions here, but I think you could have a HT and get a good result. You will never have a full head of hair, but a good HT with a conservative hairline could do a lot for your appearance. Recognize you will likely need 2-3 surgeries to get there, but it is definitely possible.

I know man. I've never wanted a full head of hair as long as my head had a nice and good buzzcut design look

  7. https://postimg.org/image/bovumginb/

Not the most clear lines but somewhere there or even 0,5 cm upwards and I will be happy. I don't need a full head of hair as long as I can get a relatively clean buzz cut look or something like that.

I will never consider a fut surgery given that I'd like to keep my hair short, therefore fue is my option. I'm aware that choosing doctors and when the time comes I will definitly not care about the price. I'm a hugeeee fan of Koray Erdogan and if he will be around in the future He will be my no. 1 choice if there aren't any better.

  8. You're getting on my nerves now. I'm young and I'm on this forum gain as much as information as possible, in every single way. Don't get fucking annoyed because I ask questions.

Sencondly, I have tried every single haircut. I've even shaved my hair to the skin and i dont have the head to pull it off. I'm literally not comfotable in my skin at the moment. Hate life. Fuck life

  9. I have a realistic expectation. As long as the doctor can create a bit of buzz cut look with normally shaved hair, I'd be happy.

"You will never be a candidate unless you get on meds" and my question to you is: how do you know? How? How do you know how my hairloss and donor area is gonna develop? It may stabalize for all we know but you seem so sure of the fact how it will develop as if you can see into the future.

Here is someone who has had a hairloss like me and is getting a ht: Image - TinyPic - gratis v?rdtj?nst f?r bilder, foton och video

  10. Ok but why the "blind-eyed" approach on liking any doctor that will accept your case?

This is one of the most hard-core hair restoration sites on the planet with more HT veterans than any other forum, if you see us trying to gently nudge you away from a doctor (which I did at first) then you should take it as an important sign. We try to help others avoid the pitfalls out there and there are many.

Anyway, some people's mind's are made up and can't be change.

If you really open up your eyes you'll see everyone in this thread is trying to help you. But maybe your current mindset is not letting you see that.

good luck and be careful out there

Fair enough and many thanks! Is there a doctor that has a very good reputation on this forum that is from turkey/europe?

  11. Future as in 2 years, that's hardly enough time, you'll be 21 and still too young to determine a safe zone, I would say at a minimum you should wait till 26. The problem is that no body can predict your pattern or what hair is permanent and what hair is not, it is a very real possibility that you will be a very bald Norwood 6/7, if any hair is taken from a zone that is not permanent you will run into serious problems, scattered hair in unnatural pattern, visible FUE punch scars, an island of hair, those are just a few possible scenarios all of which are worse than being bald IMO.

Additionally, you are losing hair rapidly, I looked back at a thread from last year and you've lost A LOT of hair in just a year, which shows your hair loss is not stable, if you have surgery you could get bad shock loss and end up looking worse than you did before surgery. Ultimately, it's your choice your body you will do what you want to, your asking us for advice and we're a group of individuals with nothing to gain telling you the truth, it's up to you if you want to accept it.

You're right mate. I'm kosing hair at a rapid pace atm but who knows, in 3-5 years time hair loss can be stable and stop.
