  1. Hello, Thank you for sharing your photos and result. I am unable to see close up photo of your frontal hairline like putting hand on your hair and pulling back so that i can see distance between one hair to second hair 2- i want to see any pitting or tenting effect on scalp 3- I also want to see placement technique of grafts 4- There is no photo after extraction of graft so that members can see punch size used for extraction in donor area.

    - However from these pictures results seem good. However to assess doctor expertise and skill we need more photos.

  2. Hello Dsmman11 , These are observations after reviewing your photos.

Photo # 5 is a Left Sideburn after hair transplant. It has very less density. Though if you believe something is better than nothing ,fine, otherwise need more grafts.

    - Shape of Left temporal peak is not properly made.

Doctor left some hair loss area in the temporal peak , need to be fixed in future.

    Photo #6

-If we can compare Right and Left sideburn- then definitely you need balance as both sides are not equal.

-Less density in the Right side side as well.

    Photo #7

It is a frontal view and reflect doctor or surgeon skill and artistic work. Your doctor tried to give density in anterior 1/3 area while posterior 2/3 area need more grafts in future. However frontal hairline can be made with more fine needle or blade.

Hope you will be 40% satisfied provided all grafts came out.

I am not interested to know doctor and price as these are irrelevant for me. I gave my observations purely on the basis of my knowledge and experience and not biased with any one.

    Regards

  3. Hi, Though mostly transplanted hair growth is there-good thing. When you closely examine Left side of frontal hairline so awkward thing is there. It did not look natural and give some artificial look. It is my own opinion and definitely you can give your own point of view. The basic purpose to clear the things and future improvement for Doctor and patients.

  4. Hi, There are many good results from Dr.Bhatti in this Forum. If you did not get good results, there might be several reasons.

1- As one member said - need Biopsy to rule out any inflammatory process. Sometimes disease process can ruin the good work of a great surgeon.

2- Secondly there should be Dermoscopy to see any inflammation in the roots or grafts.

3- Some times due to unknown reasons, results are poor. I do understand your point of view, pain, money and patience.

-At the end of a day poor results give you disappointment and need another procedure in future.

  5. Dr,

with respect where do you get off on making such comments & statements like you do.

This is the second time you have openly criticised another Doctors work just by looking at picture's which are proberly not professionally taken & wonder how on earth you can see what you claim to be over harvesting? Or are you one of these Conservative Doctors who think anything over 1500 grafts is classed as over harvesting.

All be it your comments are welcomed but as a Dr who should know better is not very constructive what so ever especially to this patient in particular & myself has a concern of your agenda in this forum.

Please reframe by using such comments & statement, we expect this from novice members but not from a MD/DO.

    - All my opinions are based on honestly and impression of photos. I am not personally against any one. What i feel after examining the photo, i wrote it here.

  6. JON86, You mean for 2789 grafts 17 hours procedure. Either you do not know ABC of hair transplant or live in fools paradise. You can see there are hundreds of before and after photos in this forum and most of people get their transplant between 4 to 6 hours.

    - 2500 grafts are enough for zone 1,2 and 3. But here doctor cover mid scalp area with frontal which independently needs more than 1200-1500 grafts.

I think you should look more before and after photos of other doctors or ask patients time duration of procedure.

  7. Hello, 2789 grafts are not enough to cover frontal and mid scalp area. At least 4000 grafts can give you good coverage for frontal and mid scalp.

2- Your mid scalp area did not have good density and you will have see through effect in this part after transplanted hair growth or need second procedure for same area.

3- As you said your procedure took 17 hours - Normally strip or FUT procedure should be finished within 4 to 5 hours for 2789 grafts.

4- Can you post your before procedure photos as well so that every one here would have clear idea.

  8. I went to the clinic today to wash my recipient site and change the dressing of the donor area. I also got some medications for the next 3 days and a kit containing all the things needed to care for the scalp in the upcoming weeks. Also received a nice booklet containing clear post-op instructions, i find this very useful. I was taught how to wash the recipient site and was given a bandana to wear, which IMO looks and feels much better than the loose fitting cap.

Updates on the grafts - in just one day, the grafts have started to look different. The red bumps around each graft have now shrunk into dark dots - I think these are the beginning of crust formation ? Pic attached.

Hi, after seeing your post op photo, it seems frontal hairline density can be increased further and more grafts can be placed especially frontal 1 cm area. Hope you will have good results.
