  1. Hi guys,

I am 25 years old with a very thin hairline but thick hair everywhere else (photo attached).

Are there people out there who have had FUE procedures...Enjoyed the results for a few years (hopefully 5-10)...then instead of having to get another hair transplant when more native hairs fall out, just decide to shave their head instead of going through the process again? How does a shaved head look with someone who has previously undergone an FUE procedure to their hair line?

I understand FUE isn't necessarily "scar less", but it sounds way more aesthetically appealing on a completely shaved head compared to a FUT scar...would it still look bad even though it is not a straight line?

My question is: Does this seem like a good/reasonable game plan to have? It's not that I am against having a second transplant down the line...more so that I just don't want to have to prepare for that...also don't want to take propecia for the rest of my life as well.

I went over this with a doctor and he agreed it wasn't a bad game plan and that he would just go extremely conservative on my hairline (not sure if he was just agreeing with me to take my $ or if he actually agreed).

    Summary:

Game plan: Get FUE done now on hair line...enjoy having hair for hopefully 5-10 years...shave head when more native hairs start falling out behind the transplanted area down the line.

Question: Would that look weird/bad when I eventually do shave my head? Or am I better off not getting transplant done and shaving head sooner? Is there a real noticeable difference between a "normal" bald person instead of a bald person who "previously had a hair transplant"... Anything else I should be concerned with?

    Thanks guys!

  2. Looking at getting FUE in LA...

Has anyone ever heard of him? I randomly came across his website although it looks extremely outdated. Not sure if he is well established or not as I have never seen his name on any of the boards but I have a consultation with him next week and wondering if it is even worth my time?

    Link to his website below....

    Thanks guys!

  3. Hi All,

I have a procedure scheduled with Dr. Parsa Mohebi (1500 FUE) in a few weeks and am getting very anxious/contemplating cancelling. I am 25 years old with a very thinning hairline. I started thinning around 21-22 years old, but nothing has really changed (knock on wood) since. I am pretty confident everything will look great short term, but one of my worries (I have many) is about long term results. I really don't want to go down the route of having to have multiple procedures....I've used Rogaine foam daily for about a year but do not want to take propecia as I had negative side effects a year ago when I took it.

Attached are pictures of my hairline. What do you guys think? I'm essentially asking those who have gone through with the procedure 5-10 years ago what they think of their results now? Also if anyone thinks 25 years old is too young?

Attaching photos from my visit, plus a "selfie", and what my hair looks like when it's usually down.

    Thanks!
