  1. It is funny that you two mentioned Dr. Oztan. I had a consultation with his clinic online and got the same impression. I like the conservative approach to taking grafts in smaller sessions. I was also trying to find more patient results posted on this forum. His results look great on his site. There are several doctors in his clinic. How do you know which one is providing the great results that are posted on the site?

They have given me an estimate of around 3000-3500 grafts over 3 consecutive days. The amount of grafts they have offered is consistent with three of the top clinics in Belgium. I have found a forum which has mainly reviews from main land Europe. I can't find a bad review concerning this clinic or Doctor just loads of positive reviews. I get the feeling most of there customers are from this part of the world.

    Hi roscopeeco78

How are you getting on with Dr Oztan.? Try searching for Dr Ozgur same surgeon I think.

  3. Hi,

I have just returned from having 2,800 FUE in Istanbul and am very pleased with it. Interestingly, on my return journey, i spoke to a guy who'd had 2,500 FUE at Transmed 6 months ago. Here's what i found out from the discussion about his experience...

    - It was twice the price of everywhere else in Turkey

    - He has swelling, itchiness and redness for longer periods than he should have

    - After 6 months, i could see very little growth

    - He said that his head still hurts after 6 months!!!

Based on that information, i knew i'd made the right choice. If you'd like to know more about where i went and see pictures, please feel free to contact me and i'll gladly discuss it with you. Failing that, have a look at my blog (in my signature).

I'm glad i chose who i did, so if i can help others, i'm more than willing to do so. I would avoid Transmed though.

    Hi serg2012

Just wondering how you got on with Dr Ozgur and HLC clinic? I am think of using this doctor.

    Cheers

  5. I wonder how many guys like us have gone down that same rabbit hole. I find the whole thing unbelievably frustrating. I can echo your thoughts on finding the right surgeon over cost. I too was looking at Hasson and Wong the trouble was they specialize in FUT and not FUE and for me it has to be FUE with manual extraction.

I live in the UK so Belgium would be ideal for me. At the moment I have three surgeon on my list.

    * Dr. Bisanga (Belgium) Loads of great results, great reviews 5-3 euros per graft

    * Dr Oztan (Turkey) Great results, (need to find more reviews). 2.5 euros per graft

    * Dr Lorenzo (Spain) unbelievable results, great reviews, (concerned over his hairlines) 6-3 euros per graft

I would be happy to message you my email address so we can keep in touch.

  6. I have been researching surgeons for over 12 months now. I keep changing my mind. My first choice was Dr lorenzo amazing results, just a little concerned about his hairlines. Because I am completely bald in my frontal zone hairlines are top of my wish list.

Dr. Bisanga is high on my list of surgeons. He has loads of great reviews. He charges 5 euros for the first 1000 grafts and then 3 euros per graft.

Regarding Dr Oztan I just really like the idea of 3000 grafts in 3 days. Plus 2.5 euros per graft.I just wish I could visit all the surgeons on my list for a consultation.

I am looking to have my procedure in December. I will keep researching until then.We only really get one shot at this.

  7. At last I have finally found a discussion about Dr Oztan. Am too thinking of using Dr Oztan. His results look very good. I love the fact that he only does around 1500 grafts max per day.

I am a NW5 and need a complete new hairline, which definitely concerns me the most. I have been told I have very good donor hair by two other surgeons, one being Dr Erdogan who I met with in London last week.

I completed an online consultation with FUE Hairline Clinic Turkey | (Dr Oztan) on 16/05/16 and received a reply last night (20/05/16) They have suggested between 3000-3500 grafts over 3 consecutive days to rebuild the hairline and a second procedure 12 months later to tackle the crown. Dr Erdogan estimated between 5000-5500 grafts to cover my frontal zone and crown over 2 consecutive days. I found 5000-5500 to be a lot of extractions over 2 days.

I really like the idea of having 3000 grafts over 3 days this suggest to me they will take their time and just concentrate on the 1000 grafts each day.

Saying all that, I find myself at cross roads once again. I can't find any reviews or experiences people have had with Dr Oztan or his clinic http://www.fue-hlc.com/en which concerns me slightly. I know some of you guys have mentioned he has a great reputation on the foreign forums but am not sure where to look.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

  8. Has anyone had any experience or procedures with FUE Hairline Clinic Turkey?

They are based in Ankara, Turkey. The surgeon is Dr Oztan. Struggling to find any reviews. Their Results on you tube look really good. Would really appreciate any information on this clinic or Dr.

    Thanks guys

  9. I everyone just wondering is there anyone out there who has been in a similar position to me.

I am a 47 years old male with what I would class as NW5/6.

Over the last 12 months I have been through many ups and downs regarding HT surgery. For such a big decision to make regarding your appearance and changing your life, it’s scary.

After joining many forums and networks and spending many hours researching who is the best, who I can trust, location of the clinic etc. etc. It’s been in possible to make a decision. Without doubt it’s an absolute mine field out there.

Like most people on here who are considering HT. I am scared, nervous and totally confused

What I have learnt though is that it’s hard to find a bad word about Dr Koray Erdogan or his clinic ASMED. Many people are very impressed with his results. From my research on choosing a surgeon it’s seems to be about finding an artist who really cares about the end result.

Because I have lost my complete hairline I know I will need a complete new hairline and this scares the hell out of me.

Saying all that I have 99% made my decision to have HT (FUE). I would be ever so grateful if anyone would be so kind to answer any of my questions below or offer me any advice or experiences they might have had.

Thank you for your time it’s very much appreciated.

1 My main concern is the hairline. As I am completely bald in this area can a new total natural looking hairline be created?

2 Could I still shave my head using a 2-3mm in length all over and it still would look natural?

3 How good is Dr Koray Erdogan and his staff?

4 Does anyone regret having hair transplants ?
