Dude If i was you i would not be worried for a sec. You rock the shaved head style.

  2. Thank you, JON. I wouldn't say I won the battle just yet. I'm still 26, and my hair loss may progress further back. I'm crossing my fingers, but further balding is possible for many more years. With meds, I'm hoping it won't be an issue until I'm a grandpa.

    Hey JKM,

First of all congrats on your result!

We are pretty much in the same shoes, 26yrs, 2FUE(although

my first one was not a complete success, and I'm just 1month post op with my 2nd now made by Dr. Koray), almost 5000 extracted grafts already...

I also put all my hopes on meds and maybe a 3rd, 4th surgery. Do you have any plans for the future if you have to give up the fight?

  3. I'm trying to not worry but nobody would know that I have any form of hair loss as I use fibres and push my fringe down. So it is going to be some what of a shock when I return to work and then begin to shed.

I own a small business as well so I will probably follow your advice and just tell them all what I am having done.

Have you posted any photos and details of your experience with Asmed? I'd be keen to read if you have.

    I totally understand you.

All I can suggest is, to be honest, it would free you from all the unnecessary anxiety.

I'm kinda proud of myself for not letting hair loss ruin my life and I think others see this trough your glasses. If you are not ashamed of it(and why should you) then they will not see it that way either.

Oh, and one more thing. Maybe first it will be a shock but not a single soul will care from the second day...People care about their own business they don't have time to care about things like this longer than a day.

(Unfortunately I don't have time to write a decent summary of my experiance, but I'll upload pictures later)

  4. The only part I am actually worried about is the first 3 months and my appearance. I guess it is just something that everyone has to go through to get where they ultimately want to be. The difference in your photos over the past 4 weeks is very encouraging though and cosmetically you should see the biggest change from 3 - 8 months. So hopefully each day / week things will get better for you.

I'd really appreciate the four weekly update. I'm worried about 'shock loss' and my current hair not returning as I have been on finasteride for quite a few years now.

    Hey Deb,

You should not be worrying about your post-op appearance, just accept that you will not be the best version of yourself for a little while but what comes after it really worths the sacrifiaces. It's only happening in you if you don't make a big deal about it no one else will.

I just went trough my surgery at Asmed, I'm 6days post-op. I had to go back to work almost immidiately as I have a small company I have to lead.

I have told everyone about my HT and honestly no one really cared.

They sent me texts how it went, how I am feeling and stuff.

Yeah unfortunately I'll look bad during the next 3-4months but I have prepared myself for it. I'll dive myself into work put chasing girls aside for a lil while and enjoy next summer to the fullest.

Keep your head up and good luck for your HT

  5. Milanello,

Can you share any pre-op photos? You may have experienced subsequent hair loss on the frontal hairline. From the 1-yr. results photo, the grafts are a bit robust on the left side of the hairline. Additional photos would help judge your yield but the aesthetic quality is why you consider it a failure?

Just one idea- you could have the worst of the 2-hair follicular units removed from the hair line to reduce the appearance of the majority of the bad work. Redistribute the hair density by filling the inconsistency in coverage with single-hair follicular units, and by all means, avoid lowering the location of the hairline.

Thank you for the advices,I will definitely mention the idea to my next doctor.

I consider it a failure becouse the yield is poor unfortunately.

I attach some more 1year photos where you can see.

I'm also trying to attach some more pre-op photos, but unfortunately I do not have any from the clinic yet, becouse they will give it them to me in september at the last control.

Yes,that is correct, on the left corner the hairs are more robust,it looks unnatural.

Fortunately,if I stlye it right people do not notice it, but the result is far far from the expected.

I will go to a repair this winter,or next winter(2016).

I'm thinking about postpone the surgery 1year, becouse it would might be good to know how my hair loss is going.

The last dumb picture is the only one I found where my hair is short :) That was made approx before the op.

  6. Hey Guys,

12months passed since my FUE surgery in Budapest.

Unfortunately it did not turn out a succes story of a man who got his look, confidence back :)

So, I would like to ask for some suggestion what to do next.

2800 grafts were used or I'd rather say at least a half of them were wasted at my first surgery.

I can not say I do not feel better, and my appaerance has not changed a bit,but the result is far from what I expected.

I want to fix this, and seeking for the best options.

I'm wondering I maybe should wait another year or two and see how is my hairloss going and do the second procedure when it is already inevitable.

Currently if i style it right, even this messed up work gives an acceptable coverege.

2600 precious grafts were wasted at my first surgery and I'm only 26years old.

In my family there is no significant hair loss.

Maternal grandfather is nw1, Paternal grandfather and my father is nw2,my grandfather who is 74 is maybe nw3. He has 3 brothers, all of them are nw2-nw3.

I have been on fin for 1 year,I do not know it is working or not.

I would appreaciate every tips, suggestions how to manage this issue.

(First picture is 2months after FUE, here you can see how my hairline looked like before the transplant.

Second-Third and last pictures are 1year after FUE.

Fourth,Fifth are the vertex area. I still can not decide if it is thinning out or not.

With harsh light it looks like it is thinning, but in normal light I'm not sure. I always had the spin at the top of my head so it has never been covered totally.)

  7. I recently had a surgery in January similar to your timeline and still do not have hairs breaking the surface yet. However, I am not worried at all. I had a previous surgery done in 2012 with great results. It may take a while but hang in there, they will surface. Continue your patience.

    Thank you John,

It has been 9months since my surgery but the result is still not meet my requirement.

Have you experianced any significant changes after the 9th months?

  8. Thanks for the quick reply! Did you consult any other surgeons in Budapest before choosing that clinic?

There is one called Hair Palace, that seems to do nice work. Are you familiar with them? If so, what is your opinion of that clinic?

Regarding your current hair loss pattern, I'm not sure you should go to Turkey to do such a procedure. It may be better for you to consider one of the doctors in Poland or Belgium, which cost almost the same, but where the doctor performs the surgery, not just assistants. This can definitely affect the quality of the end results.

In general, as you are young, you should focus primarily on keeping your existing hair, through a healthy diet and minoxidil. You can buy a version of Minoxidil without PG, which won't irritate your scalp.

    Regards,

    James

Yes, I visited more clinic before I made my decision.

Looking back it is actually funny how their offers were totally different.

In one place they said I need 1-1,2K grafts, here I was told I need 2,2k.

The one I went to was the most expensive and had the best reputation.

I have not heard about Hair Palace, unfortunately.

I have friends who has had their hairtransplant in Budapest and got a nice results.

  9. Hi Milanello,

The thinning in your vertex area looks like it is just in the very early stages. If you start taking biotin supplements and using topical minoxidil, you should hopefully be able to restore it completely without surgery.

By the way, I've been following your hair transplant progress here and was wondering which clinic/doctor in Budapest did your FUE transplant?

Are you feeling more satisfied with the results now, or are you still not happy with them?

I look forward to your reply.

    Thank you,

    James

    Hey,

Yeah, that is what I'm hoping for.

I have been on fin for 6months and started to use rogaine for a week,so I hope these can help.

I'm not satisfied with my result, the density at the left side is still much weaker and even the right side is far from most of the great results I have seen here.

I received 6000hairs which should have been enough to give a good result according to my doc and according to the pictures-forum threads I have read here.

I feel better overall and if I style it right it can be covered and looks better than pre op,no doubt. I'll post some pictures soon,so you will see what im talking about.

I contacted Dr. Doganay and I'm planning to do a touch up in january.

I hope after the touch I can forget about this whole hair loss thing at least for some years, and do not even think about it.

My fue transplant was performed by hair hungary clinic.

  10. Yep,sure it got better no doubt!

Currently if it would not be worst,I think I could live my life without feeling myself desperate.

But I think 2400graft should have give a better result anyway.

Dr.Doganay seems affordable and great to get the job done.

To be honest in the bottom of my heart i hoped due to fin and lack of family pattern, I will be able to at least stop it for a while.

  11. I think you're beating yourself up a lot about your FUE. You look way better than you did pre-op...you have a hairline now. I know you hate to hear this, but it's only been about 6 months, right? There is still time for it to thicken up a bit. I'm surprised your doctor waved the white flag before 12 months.

No,unfortunately it is almost 9 months already :(

  12. Oh,damn last thing I wanted to hear :)

It is crazy there is absoutely no one in my family who have bald spot on the top.

Maternal grandfather is nw1, paternal is nw2-3,my father went nw 2 when he was around 24-5 and maintained it without any treatment.

I have been on fin for 6months but i do not know it works or not.

I can not even decide my hairline receded back or not in the past year.

I stopped using rogaine becouse my skin did not like it,do you think I should start using it again?

My FUE did not turn out well,I was gonna make a longer post about it and request some advice, recommendation about where to or not to go for the touch up.

I'm considering Dr.Erdogan,Doganay but after my last surgery it is hard to allocate that much money for it again(7-8keuro)

  13. Its quite strange that your doctor admitted that your results are disappointing in only 6 months, Final assessment is made when you complete a year or 18 months. You still have few more months, for growth. All I can say is Please don't jump into any conclusions unless and until you complete a year!!

    Good luck

Yes,thats what is was waiting for.

Instead of this she said,I need 1,5K grafts more. :)

  14. Hey Guys,

So I have already passed my 6months mark, and just went to a control yesterday.

    My results are still dissapointing.

The doctor admitted it,but here comes the funny part! She did not admit it was her or her assistant fault, she only admitted that the result is not satisfying.

She offered me a repair, and she want to add another 1500grafts and want to charge me for another 3K EURO :) The original 2400graft costs 5K euro.

Obvisualy I will decline it, and 2-3months later I will try to talk with her boss and write a blog or forum posts about my very bad experiance with them.

I'm attaching some pictures, the right side is kinda okay, but still not good enough.

The left side is a total failure.

I will try to get in touch with Dr. Erdogan,or Feriduni and make things right.

  15. Questionmark, Did you experience significant changes between 5-7months?

I think our case is kinda similar(except you had better gowth at this stage :D )

I mean kinda same haircharacter, and as I checked your journey at you hair loss website kinda same type of hair loss.

I know everybody is different, just wondering.

  16. Thank you guys,I'm trying to relax and get back my hope.

I think i did not have unrealistic expectations, but I have to admit I expected a very good result, becouse the good quality of the donor area,I'm young,non-smoker,enough grafts and so on.

I believed I'm a very good candidate for this.

I hope the magic really happens after the fifth monts.

Thank you for following my case,I'll update it later, hopefully with more hair on my head :)

  17. Hello guys,

    So,here I'm 5months after my FUE HT.

As,you know,I was desperat and worried a month ago aaand.. nothing has changed :)

    I'm still worried.

Maybe transplanted hairs got thicker and I can see non colored, tiny hairs but, still gaps and the fine non colored hairs dont really want to get thicker.

I have checked a lot of after HT story here and every great final result showed better improvement at this stage I guess.

I think the next month (5-6) will might tell the truth.

  18. Yes,I"m sure becouse for now the donor area got back to normal. It looks fine.

It was a 2 day surgery and they extracted hairs from the left side at the second day, when my doctor brought one of her assistant in and let her do the extraction for a while.

I was stupid to let her do it,my mistake.

Even I did not feel pain, but i felt that she was just doing it much slower and harder. She was not well quailifed and experianced enough for it.

Maybe it was her first or second time doing this so..

Thank you guys for the replies I hope I will see some significant changes by the end of the fourth months. I'll post some better quality pictures in my next posts.

  19. Thank you very much for the replies.

I have checked a lot of blogs, forum topics and as I see there are a lot of patients who have achieved a very good density and growth at this early stage.

Unfortunately the left side has been lagging behind since the first day of my post op,as the right side started to grow very nicely even before the shedding period ,the left side did not really grow,or at least much slower.

I experienced shock loss at the left side of the donor area( anyone experienced something like this?) So I was affraid that the hairs might got damaged during the extraction.

Sorry,if I'm overreacting it,and thank you for the replies.

I'll keep you guys updated :)
