  1. How did your scar revision turn out? I was in the same situation as you were back then, I didn't have a clue about hair transplants and trusted that a qualified doctor knew what he was doing. I got 2 surgeries from him as he said he wasn't happy with how the 1st turned out. The 2nd surgery wasn't any better as the left side of hairline and just behind it hardly grew at all and the rest isn't much better either. I'm obsessed with the scars I have.. I would love to get something done to them but I don't know what is best option. Anyway I wish you all the best and i hope you can get something done to help you.

  2. Hello Ernie.. I do appreciate that a recommended doctor would be the best option, however I've also seen bad results from some of them and even sometimes they are even removed from the recommended list for one reason or another. I also think some of them use way to many grafts that sometimes is not needed. Although I do agree most of the Doctors on the list are top quality I feel some are very average at best. Ciaran.. I think a good few people from Ireland have had work done from Dr Saifi in Poland and reviews seen very good so check him out. His cost would be reasonable. Before anyone says anything.. I know cost should not be the most important issue!!!!!!

  3. No I haven't had work with these doctors. I went for a consultation with dr van eeden (it's free)and he knows his stuff. I also went for a consultation with ailesbury and it was a bit of a joke! I haven't gone to see dr Nel yet.. his consultation is €200 I think but his price per graft would be roughly around the same as ailesbury I think. You should contact van eeden and get free consultation anyway. Google Dr Nel also and check his work... I'm going to go to him at some stage.

  4. I keep it with a bit of length and the scar is coverd mostly. I'd much rather have it shorter than it is. When I got the FUT done 10/11 years ago I was told that the scar would be a fine line!!! It is very wide. I have 2 scars and still have plenty of donor hair but I don't want to waste putting grafts in the scar as it is wide. I was thinking about revision and then either Smp or Fue into the scar then. I will try get photos and put them up when I get the chance.

  5. Hello Rebels1. I have the exact same problem you are having with the numbness etc..I had fut surgery in 2006 also and another in 2007.. I have a very wide scar ear to ear also and not great results to show from it either! I decided to look at your profile and what a coincidence... we had the same doctor! I thought I would reply to you as at least you know you are not the only one with this problem.
