  1. Wow, good to know you have been using it for 5 years without sides (hopeully some success regarding aswell:)

By the way thank you all for the responses guys. Since yesterday i have started taking 1mg fin (generic one) every other day (to begin with). Let us see how my body puts up with it and i am hoping for the best with regards to the hair.

Any updates srik? How do you feel?

  2. Minoxidil is the active element of Rogaine.

Propecia (finasteride) is the most effective hair loss treatment. You shouldn't worry about the side effects, as only 2% of men do experience sides. Moreover, these are temporar and disappear with some time. Your body just need some time to adjust to this medication.

  3. Yes, Viagra can fix this. There are no contraindications of taking Viagra and Propecia together.

The only thing I'd like to mention is that Viagra works if the man is sexually stimulated, but as we all know one of the side effects of Propecia is low libido. So if men's sexual drive is low, Viagra may hardly help.

  4. Both medications work in the same way, however Dut is considered to be more potent as it inhibits two types of enzymes: type 1 5α-reductase and type 2 5α-reductase while Fin inhibits only type 2 5α-reductase.

It is usually recommended to start with Fin, and to switch to Dut only if Fin is not effective for you.

  5. People respond differently to the treatment and some may have side effects, others not. Surely, any unusual condition should be reported to your doctor, however as it is commonly reported, the majority of side effects pass away with some time (1-2 months).

  6. Hi,

I think that any man who is losing his hair is suffering from depression and it is not due to Propecia, it is due to the stress that we all experience, low self-esteem, and feeling that you are not attractive anymore.

I was very depressed when I noticed that I started losing my hair. However, when I started the treatment with finasteride, my mental state has significantly improved as the results I get from taking this medication really make me happy.

I don't know what the studies show, it is just my own experience and opinion.

  7. I haven't had sexual side effects, however some mild effects that occured, passed within about a month. As I've heard, almost all side effects pass with some time.

There are many psychological causes and health issues that could affect your sexual health that is why it is worth get a professional help in this regard. Visit a doctor and try to find the real cause of your problems instead of blaming Propecia.

  8. All of us - hair loss sufferers have at some point of our life have experienced depression. From my experience I can tell that physical activity is of great help. When you run accompanied by a rhythmic music, the depressive thoughts are jumping out of your head. You feel like energy fills your body and you wish to do more and more. Try to spend your free of work time being active. Spend it with your family, not sitting in front of the TV, but playing football with your kids/friends in the yard, skiing (depending on the weather conditions), arranging picnics, playing paintball with your friends etc. There are plenty of examples, just DO IT.

  9. Hi,

I take Finasteride (finasteride is the active ingredient of Propecia). I do not suffer from any kind of side effects. It doesn't affect my sexual life. Think that the better way to find out if it works for you - is to try it.

As about where to buy: I buy it online. There is a great number of online pharmacies that deliver medications to UK.
