I am also reading into this but this does not seem to be a very talked about subject. My Nanogen box lists Silica as an ingredient, and although Toppik does not seem to list it as an ingredient - having read its ingredients online I believe Toppik also includes Silica.
Why would these companies add Silica in powder form, knowing that it increases the risk of lung cancer?

Thanks for your reply Spanker.
1) Would 2000 from beard clean out the area under my jaw line completely?
2) I am 30 years old. Does beard density grow with age? (know this is a subjective question, but on an average)

Hi Guys,
i have attached pictures of my beard and chest. I have had 3200 scalp FUE over the years and my head donor feels pretty thin, i do not feel comfortable with the idea of harvesting more from the scalp in future sessions.
I am an NW5 with some mid scalp left but i will perhaps head to an NW6 at some point. I will have to go back to fill in mid scalp and perhaps sides (i hope they wont drop) in the future.
I am just curious to know how many grafts can be extracted from my beard and chest?

thats normal i guess? will it heal itself?

Hi All,
Over the last 2 weeks i have been getting pretty huge spots in the donor area. They went away on their own last week but now ive got some new ones bigger than last ones. I took a picture of one today, its quite big and i can feel it when i move my neck or turn my head, seems as if its full of puss or some white fluid - its quite concerning.
Attached is a pic of one i took today.

@mplusf sounds good. Look forward to great results

your donor looks pretty thin in pictures (month 2 and 3), area above your ears. Is that where hair were taken from? It is just the pics or has it thinned that much?

Joe, how is this patient doing now? can you post results please

I came across this post from two years ago: Jon Cryer admits he's almost bald and explains the process he goes through to hide it | Daily Mail Online
Looking at his pics, it looks like he has had some FUEs done and he now uses Dermmatch + Nanogen/Toppik. It gives him an amazing result overall. I love Nanogen but I am on the fence about Dermmatch.

Thats definately one of the best scars ive seen. Do you plan to keep your head shaved?

Hi Anil,
How many grafts did you get, what are the results like?
-
Its been 7 years, what was the outcome?

3-4 years on, how is this patient doing now? Some people report that body hair grafts fall off after a year or so, or a large % of them stay in Telogen / resting phase - this means lower density 1-2 year post op.
If the patient still has the same density 3-4 years on, that would really prove that body hair grafts work just as well as scalp hair grafts!

Hi Shane
I have been reading your posts. Thank you for sharing your journey and the updates. My hairloss + transplant pattern is similar. I have transplanted hair in the hairline and some in the crown. I have some hair in the mid area now but they are thinning already and they will go at some point. You were considering doing a buzz cut to 2/3. I was just curious to know how you style your hair now.
Thanks

I am trying out 'hair illusion' because it says its all human hair.
I simply don't get why these well known companies use stuff such as Silica when it is so dangerous. And I feel dumb for having used it for over 9 years..
