  1. Paleo,

I'm pretty much sick and tired of your ranting and bullying. The article talks about the dangers of "unlicensed" and "inexperienced" technicians. The issue with Dr. Doganay is not the same thing. That said, I've taken the concerns of the community seriously and have been investigating things. I'm still waiting to hear back from the clinic regarding Dr. Doganay's future involvement in procedures. However, I will not entertain your threats and bullying anymore. If you can't behave and speak to me or other members of this community respectfully, it's time for you to go.

    Bill

Sorry but this whole process has made the board and moderators come off extremely poorly. I think this sentiment has been echoed by dozens of posters and I think frankly many in the community see the opposite happening, in the fact the community concerns are not being adequately addressed.

I don't see any threats by Paleo and I for one am glad when posters speak the truth and don't get shutdown by over zealot moderation just because it may effect their bottom line. So far despite all the issues provided, I find the doctors communication most troubling. The fact you are still waiting for answers on the most basic of concepts speaks to that.

I for one hope posters like Paleo continue and are not silenced.

  2. Those so called excuses by the Doctor are absolutely, positively laughable. How Bill or anyone with a shred of intelligence could think that is sufficient to answer for a track record of deceptive practices and clear false advertising is astounding.

Many poster have said the boards reputation would be sullen depending on how this situation is handled. I think it's already been negatively affected and once again the patients best interests seem to be loosing out.

    Very disappointing.

  3. Bill,

I respect the balancing act you're up against and need to remain diplomatic. But im sorry, this statement below is unacceptable and a slap in the face to the group:

I am waiting to hear back from them on this and have suggested that the doctor consider getting more involved like he used to which may take care of any possible quality control issues that exist. If the doctor does agreed to become more involved again, I think perhaps we can give him another chance and possibly just put him on probation to see how things go and whether or not they improve over time.

"Suggested that the doctor consider getting more involved" ? He's the doctor!

Would we condone a technician doing a heart transplant? What about an assistant doing a knee replacement? What about brain surgery? Why are we so accepting of this horrifying trend in an already unregulated yet growing area of medicine.

And if he does agree to do the job he's responsible for doing we'll let him hang on probation? Time for some tough love man. The patients should not be forced to set the standards based on poor trends. A poor outcome is inevitable, but one produced by technicans rather than the doctor himself is not ok.

Couldn't agree more. This forum is likely to loose a significant amount of credibility. The Doctors excuse regarding fake accounts make no logical sense and is not excusable. Let alone a handful of poor results.

    Very, very disappointing.

  4. Had Corey not had a much larger area of visible thinning into the crown Dr Hasson might have felt it appropriate to plant at a higher density, but it would not be right to use up 50% of someone's donor hair just to provide higher density into the crown. What would happen when the rest of the crown opens up or the mid scalp?

Thank you for your reply. I'm curious was any of this communicated to the patient before he decided to embark on his surgery?

There seems to be conflicting versions of what occurred but if the patients expectations were not correct from the beginning I can see why the patient would think the results are underwhelming.

  5. Update would be appreciated. This is the second unhappy guy in a couple of weeks. Considering H&W but concerned Dr. Hasson would say the hair transplant was a success??? The hair transplant was a fail and a full refund is in order no doubt. Will H&W pay for to you have the procedure with another doctor?

    Sorry double post

    What was the other thread?

  7. After reading this, I was considering using Hasson and Wong to perform my hair transplant in the future but now I am re-evaluating.

The reasons for this are not the bad result. I can accept that this can happen sometimes and it is awfully unfortunate for the person involved.

But seeing how it has been handled since has left me a distaste in my mouth. Particularly the comments by Lorenzo which I found incredibly insulting and demeaning to the guy in question.

And also the comments by the other paid representative who tried to use quotes from the past to make an argument.

Hasson and Wong need to realise that their paid representatives acting like this does more damage than a bad result. It's like they have orchestrated a smear campaign to protect Hasson and Wong. However, all it does is diminish trust in the company for the public.

A better way for the representatives to handle this would be to say nothing instead of attempting to defend H&W in the manner they did.

As someone that's been to the clinic twice as a prospective patient and decided to move forward with HT in little more than a months time, although my experience has been very professional, direct and helpful to date, I certainly have to echo your comments.

Before I made my decision I looked at last 4-5 years worth of threads related to the clinic to get a better idea of experiences of clients (Also to help re-assure me of my decision no doubt). And while far and away the feedback has been wonderful in the odd thread where there was an unhappy patient or a concern was raised, the posters often got pilled on and there was 3-4 people affiliated with the clinic in one way or another attacking veracity of claims in a way that didn't paint anyone in a good light.

  8. Hello all,

I'm sorry for late reply. The last few weeks I've been inundated with research, planning my options and thinking about my next steps. Thank you for those that posted and provided their opinions.

I did go back to the clinic and decided after reviewing results I wanted to meet Dr. Hasson and get his opinion. He discussed potentially a slightly higher yield especially with regards to hairline. He has a very different personality and I appreciated his candor and his confidence in his abilities, which has been demonstrated countless times with great results. I felt we were able to communicate more clearly (It also helped I had done a lot more research prior to this meeting than my first visit_

I've been trying to keep my expectations in check but realize this is something I do want to move forward with. I put deposit towards a surgery scheduled for December 4th.

Reading this thread has made me extremely concerned, especially with regards to not getting individualized care and attention from the Doctor. Now I've read dozens, and dozens of positive experiences with the clinic but I am a little concerned that because my surgery is relatively large 4500-5000 target I don't get the doctors full attention. When I was there last I understood there was 3 surgeries going on (Not sure if that was simultaneously) can someone give me an idea on what the process will be like?

I think I will create a seperate thread as I approach the dates. I am a bundle of emotions, excited, scared, worried, and unsure of the eventual outcome. I can't imagine how I will be during the healing process.

As always thoughts and feedback are welcome.

  9. Hello home,

Thank you for your reply. While I agree in part to see what results I can get from Proscar, from the advice I was given by Doug and Dr. Wong they said they would see no wrong with my starting treatment and getting HT at the same time. If I understand correctly Proscar will only help me with the existing hair I have and unlikely to see much growth in my balding areas.

I have attached another picture. My hair line on either side of my temples especially right side is quickly loosing hair and I am unable to cover this successfully increasingly with cabooki.

For a 4500 grafts what would a FUE cost likely be? I am concerned about scar but I am hoping the HT will be successful and I wouldn't have to have my hair short.

    Your feedback is appreciated.

  10. Hello, thank you for taking time to read my thread.

I discovered this forum a few weeks ago and have tried to read as much information as I can.

Some general background I recently turned 29 and have been suffering hair loss for the last 3 years. For the last 2 years I've been using a concealer (cabooki) to mask and deal with hair loss. Lately with the right side of my head thinning it's been harder and harder to deal with thus I am looking at my options for HT.

As I reside in Vancouver, Hasson and Wong were obviously one of first clinics I looked into.

I met with Dr. Wong a few weeks ago along with Doug. They were pleasant and said that I could see results with 4000-45000 grafts. I have attached some pictures but would estimate I am NW 4?

    Some general questions;

1.)Before my consultation with H&W I was never on any medication. I have now started 5mg dose of Proscar taking 1/4 tablet 3 days weekly. I've seen a lot of talk of waiting for hair to stabilize. Is it okay if I move foward with HT while starting proscar?

2.)Who is the better doctor between Dr. Wong or Hasson? I noted in results and postings on this forum Hasson seems to be involved in more procedures posted. For my condition- loss in crown/top along with need to rebuild hairline is there someone better equipped?

3.) I work in a job with daily interaction with staff. If I'm able to take 6 weeks off (working from home) do you think that should be suffice to hide any effects of having a HT?

4.) I saw a posting today about H&W buying a ARTAS System. What does this mean for a prospective FUT client like myself?

I've read many horror stories about hair transplant run a muck and am mortified about getting a hair transplant and it not working out and being out a large chunk of change.

Any information you can share would be helpful. I have attached some pics for reference

    Thank you
