Hey just uploading some pictures of me 4 months pre op, let me know what yee think. I can see a good few thin hairs that have grown out, but I do think I have had a good bit of shock loss in the front especially on the left side. Also I'm not o n any meds so am worried about it not coming back. Any opinions appreciated.

Hey, ye started back work was good they noticed it was slightly red, but as I live in Australia was able play it off as sun burn. I used the aloe vera gel a few times didn't see much improvement and it made it more red straight after applying so I stopped. I will try post some one month post op pics tomorrow if I get time, on my HT thread.

Thanks for the replies that's good to hear about being able to shave it down, it gives me another option I am due back to work in a week so want to be able hide it best I can. I was thinking of shaving it down and saying it was just bad sunburn. Could you put aloe vera or something like that on the redness would it be safe?
Thanks again for all your advice.

Hey I am 18 days post op everything seems to be going to plan all the scabs are off and hair is growing like a buzz cut. I was wondering when is safe to shave my whole head to blend it in better. I didn't shave my hair in the recipient area for the operation but am thinking now it would look better. Also is there anything I could use that's safe to help reduce the redness in the recipient area.
Thanks in advance

Hey just taught I would start a thread on my HT, I am booked in to get it done with Dr. Doganay this Friday. I am excited and nervous at the same time. Only thing I am dreading is the flight from Perth to Antalya. He said I would need 1500 grafts, I just want to fill in the temples and lower my hairline. I was hoping some of yee could share your experiences with me to make it a bit easier, all advice is greatly appreciated.
Here's my post op pics

Thanks for the replies. How soon can you wear a baseball cap on your head after the transplant...Also what is the best way of payment, I know it would work out cheaper paying by cash, but don't think I would be comfortable carrying that much cash on me...

Thanks for the replies any tips are greatly appreciated. .. is there anything you can apply to the recipient area to heal the redness quicker...Also Campbell how did you find the journey back would you be asked to remove a bandana at security. ..

Hey I am going for Fue at the end of October with Dr. Doganay in Turkey he estimated 1500 grafts. I am just wondering what tips anyone has to aid quicker recovery, either pre op or post op. I have took just under a month off work would this be long enough to get away with it not being noticeable. Thanks for any tips...

Thank you for your replies. Dr .Lindsey would I have to be on meds well before the HT to stop permanent shock loss from the HT. Or is this impossible to tell in individual patients?

Thank you for the replies, my hair loss has been a slow burner and it's only in my temple area. My main concern is about losing a lot of healthy hair now due to permanent shockloss which I have read can happen. Is that a big possibility?

Hey I'm long time follower of this forum, and it has helped me a great deal in my research for a HT. I would like to ask how many people on here have had successful HT without being on Meds e.g Propecia etc...I am strongly considering having a HT the only thing stopping me is the worry that I would be wasting my time getting a HT without meds. I understand mpb can still continue after a transplant, I am more so worried about permanent shock loss without being on meds beforehand. Anyone being in similar situation and went through with the HT. ..
HT with Dr.Doganay the 31st October 2014
