I'm 45, been using Rogaine (liquid back then) since I was 25 and Propecia since I was 28.
Both are still working fine.
I have had 2,000 grafts done since 2000, last was in 2006
thanks for the first hand info

How much difference does propecia make once you start rogaine? Is there studies that actually quantify the amount?
I believe 50 percent

I really doubt 1x every 3 days will be of much benefit.
I have been considering bringing it down to 1x every day (as opposed to 2x / day) but I have already achieved a good baseline and am wondering what decreasing to 1x/day will do..
hard to say id give it a try and see.

I was wondering the same thing

id aim for 5 cuts since thats 25 percent more than you probably need and more chance of side effects.

I would take you current dosage once every 3 days, you can still stay on it this way and monitor how things go for the next months.
I'm thinking of restarting (dammit again! lol) on that very same dose.
i agree that seems like a reasonable approach

No doubt it works for some. But it dosent work for everyone.
didn't work for me

I do not believe the Merck's assessment of side affects. The study completely ignored the mental side affects of Finasteride. Also the percentage of people with sexual and mental side affects is too low to be true. How much can you trust Merck which had huge financial interests in the drug, to be honest in reporting the side affects? I am a Fin user and I get significant mental side affects, mainly the brain fog. Please do not dismiss me by saying it is all in my head. I have tested my self stringent enough to make sure that the side affects are due to Fin. On the other hand I do agree that Dr. Irwig's study had limited number of patients and most likely the patients belong to the pool of people with side affects. So the percentages will be skewed and not accurate.
I dont either i looked into this a lot last month.
