  1. Hey Woodman

Mine is actually going pretty well, I'm exactly at 3 and a half month now and I'm starting to see new hair spouting everyday. To be honest, I'm quite please so far. I feel like where I'm suppose to be now, not like at month 3!

Good choice with Dr. Rahal, I guarantee you'll be extremely happy.

    I noticed you're a leafs fan ;) so am I haha

  2. Dr. Diep does a zig zag with single hair follicles in the front.

this is what it should hopefully look like when the hair grows back.

From this picture, the hair line doesn't even look natural :S and I can see the implanted hair is in a bad angle. And Shiner is right, this is extreme zig zig.

  3. hey guys.

I'm almost 4 months post op and I've noticed that the back of my head (donor area) has had some increased shedding. I notice it a lot when I'm taking a shower. It's not patchy, could this be shock loss? I'm not on any meds nor do I use rogaine. Anyone's input would be greatly appreciated.

I honestly think you should start using 5% minoxidil, otherwise you're going to lose a lot of your native hair. Before I had my surgery, every time I would shower, I would noticed a lot of hair is shedding but 2 weeks after the HT, I started to use 5% minoxidil (2 times/day and I haven't missed a day yet).. at first there was still shedding while using it but "now" I do feel like my hair got a lot thinker/stronger and I don't see anymore shedding. Read number 14. on Dr Rahals book (they one that he gave us). It says he "strongly recommends the use of Minoxidil 5% for 1 year (you should really take his advice). Again, not saying you have to take it but I would recommend you to. This is just from my honestly and experience so far.

  4. If rogaine stop hair lost, I don't see why we shouldn't use it. Why are people afraid to lose hair if they stop using it? Here's an example.. If you're 25 and you use rogaine till 40 and all of the sudden you decided to stop using it, your hair will pretty much fall out "normal" just like how you would when you're 25. All it does is pretty much freezes it. It's not like your hair will fall out all at once.. correct me if I'm wrong.

I don't know about you guys but I'm going to keep using it. If I see that I'm still losing hair then I'll stop. I'd rather risk some money and keep my hair than losing my hair and save some money.

FYI: I got my facts from this doctor and I "strongly" believe what he says. Skip to 1:25 mark. I hope my message helped you guys!

  5. Can I ask why you said scalp pigmentation is not a welcome choice, I saw some websites in the UK who i think would be good for andvanced hair loss sufferer like me than doing FUE.

I knew someone who had it and it doesn't look natural. I mean.. it looks good in some picture but when you look at it in person, not so much (unless you're a really tall guy). Also, when the hair starts to grow out a little, that's when it starts to look a little weird. But please don't let my message stop you from anything. This is just my opinion/experience.

  6. Q. Do you think with my baldness level I can achieve good results with FUE

    A. No, you won't have good result with FUE in your condition. Stick with FUT.

    Q. Do you think Scalp pigmentation would be better in my case if FUE can't give good results

    A. Hell no.

    Q. Or wearing a hair system might be a solution

    A. Nope!

    Q. What level of baldness am I

    A. Definitely Level 6.

    Q. How many grafts do I need

    A. 4000+. I would recommend you 4500.

Q.- Which physician do you recommend ( please note I can not afford the high price in the US or in Belgium )

    A. Depend where you live.

Bottom line is your hair transplant will cost probably around $15000 USD. It might seem like a lot but it's a life changing experience.

  7. Such unbelievable incompetence... I'm just shocked.

How can this doctor be recommended by anyone at all? Since he has been criticised by many... yet still does this?

1 - it has not enough density

2 - the angles of the new hairs don't match the ones from the native hairs (this is so ridiculous for a professional doctor)

3 - the transplanted hair was all transplanted from the same donor area (FACEPALM!)

Fortunely this is easily fixed. So OP don't desperate!

But I have to ask to the OP to NOT go to Dr.Diep ever again and to spread the word about his abysmal incompetence.

    This is totally UNNACCEPTABLE!

Check out one of Dr. Diep Patient CanYouHairMeNow. Click month 23 and look at the last picture, it just looks very uneven to me when the hair fully mature. You can tell the doctor didn't put the right donor graft in the right recipient spot. One side has way more density than the other.

Another thing I noticed is that Dr Diep does FUE with the patient SITTING UP (the patient is suppose to be facing down lying on something that looks like a massage bed so that way he/she can't move much.). And why would you want to shave little by little!?!? Look how HARD Dr Diep push that thing into his scalp!! That dude must be tired, it's like getting a hair cut for 4 hours ish. Look how much blood is leaking out, how many time does he have to put that white cloth over that guy. sigh... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlPzqfk1KXE

I'm not here to advertise for Dr Rahal but I recently had my surgery with him and everything is so professional. Here's an example of what FUE should be like. You be the judge.

The thing with Dr Diep is that I see some good result but at the same time I see people posting negative things about him, it's like playing RUSSIAN ROULETTE with your head!

At the end of the day, it's not my scalp. I just feel sorry for the people that goes to him (we did try to warn them right??).
