Wow, really?? Most likely I will stay away from this drug then. I will research it a bit longer to collect as much info as possible. Meanwhile, I will continue with Saw Palmetto from Gaia Herbs (320mg/day), and laser hair therapy every other day. That's a bit safer then these pharmaceutical drugs.

Can anyone tell me if doctors get a commission for prescribing Propecia? I have been hesitating to start on it, but Dr. Arocha says he hardly sees anyone suffering from side effects. I'm not worried about the side effects if they disappear once the drug has been discontinued. But what about the irreversible side effects I have been hearing about? Anyone had any negative experience with this drug? Please tell me, because I do not want to take something that would mess up my body. I would like honest opinions based on experience please!

Dr Arocha did not offer or recomend Acell/PRP. He just did the HT for me. I just recently came across that treatment option myself on youtube. It looked promising. I will check out that article on ISHRS.org on prp treatment.

I did think 3K is a lot of money for a 2 hr treatment!

Thank you guys for your feedback. I have had HT earlier this year (3500grafts) with dr. Arocha in Houston. I like the results but I just wanted to maintain my current hair. I'm also doing low level laser therapy, and take saw palmetto. I wanted to stay away from propecia.

I do think that this PRP/Acell treatment is pretty costly, but they were showing such great results on youtube. It originated from dr. Hitzig, and a few docs are doing it. I just moved to Southern California and wanted to see if maybe there are some doctors who offer it down here. It's worth going to an interview if I find someone nearby. But if you say it's not effective, I might not do it. I just wish there was something out there that could be useful. I'm only 33yrs old!

I was wondering if anyone had Acell&PRP injections done, and if so, how were the results. I heard there is a doctor in Tacoma, Wasington (Dr. Niedbalski-nothwest hair restoration) He charges about $3000 for this treatment. I wouldnt mind paying this much if I knew it worked for sure!
