Bumping this. Any thoughts or new info?
it's from cotsarellis so it will be out in 5 years, which really means never.

just to be fair ,there was 100 % regeneration rate after the second procedure which was "de novo" doubling according to the hair count dr mwamba performed and tom admitted that
tom is speaking about "in vitro hair" doubling procedure "his first surgery" which gave him a 40 graft per sqcm at donor
we need dr mwamba to verify the whole situation to us
We'll see, from reading on the other forums there seem to be a lot of question marks by Nigam's name. His photos are the worst i've ever seen and he never produces evidence when requested.

My understanding is the Pilofocus device /technique is a way to reduce FUE scaring by creating a cavity under the skin and harvesting the grafts from below rather than from the surface.
According to his website he is doing trials and applying to the FDA - so legit. There is no donor multiplication involved.
No, regeneration has been observed but not proven. It is sonething he is looking further into on the next trial
Go to his webiste - Carlos K. Wesley, MD click on Surgery then scarless surgery where a video of Spencer kobren talking will automatically play.

I am hopeful of donor regeneration with Dr Wesley's Pilofocus device. It seems like the real deal.

Im sorry, but I dont understand that post at all!

is Dr Mwamba still working on this?
Seems like a waste of time

real deal as in that their treatment will really work?
they seem to be doing well at getting backing despite the not so impressive results from phase 1.

does it work?
Dr Rassman and Bernstein say it never worked for them.
-
Who do you get them from?
I buy from from pharmcy2u. Works out at about ?60 per month. I don't think you'll be able to get them for less than a pound in Britain, not from a registered pharmacy anyway
-
Where is he with regard to plucking and regeneration? can we expect him to have these options readily available soon?
-
Whats going on? i've heard Stratus have pulled out mean histogen will lose funding
just give us a cure, damn you.
-
why any Dr would risk damaging their reputation is beyond me.
-
What is your regime?
0.5 ed. Also have added minox twice daily to frontal area, for about 4 months now.
Head itches like crazy most of the time although the derm said its dandruff.
-
im 10 months in - no noticeable regrowth - have compared using photos; no side effects; feel like ive lost ground.
-
he's been very quiet...
-
I think I have exerienced a little more loss in front since starting, but I can't bring myself to get off for fear of it getting worse. I am at at 14.5 months. I started rogain and am still on fin. My loss is frontal and corners. Actually, I feel like my corners thinkened a little and my very front hairline eroded some.
I am prolly gonna stick with it.
are you comparing from memory or photos?
im 10 months on dut and was sure my front was thinning but looking at photos from last year im not so sure.
memory is a poor way to evaluate inmho.

so will all of us soon look like this guy as we type away on this message board?
I am skeptical too!
hes obviously on a dating site but bet he didnt use a photo of him wearing that for his profile pic
-
Even if this guy is on to something, I am somehow not convinced by his code of ethics.
it's weird, because everything about him sends of warning signs yet Dr Mwamba has met him and is working with him and I'm sure DR Mwamba wouldn't put his reputation at risk, so who knows....
-
LMAO - Another brilliant before and after photo from nigam - someone turn on the lights
-
how did they get fda approval?

Hope for a Hair Loss Cure? PDG2 (Prostaglandin) Compound Linked to Hair Loss
in Future Medical treatments

there was a latter study done that found no link between pgd2 and aga.
Cotsarellis said in 2008 that a treatment could be out in a few years; 6 years latter NO treatment.
Cotsarellis talks alot but has never released any treatments and from i can tell is not about to release one, despite over 20 years of research, he must also be near retirement age so i doubt he'll ever bring out a treatment.
Basically, just ignore him.
