  1. I'm a NW3 and got 2300 grafts put into my hairline using FUE. Given I still had some hair and manage to style it ok pre-op I decided not to shave my head.

For those who did the same how many days did you wait until you started styling your hair as you would pre-op? I'm planning on combing it back with hair clips for the first 10-12 days and looking to start styling it again like normal once the scabbing falls out.

    Is this a good idea?

  2. Are all of the photos the day of the surgery?

I got given a spray to use for 4 days after the procedure and medication to help prevent swelling and antibiotics to make sure nothing will get infected. I also got told only to gently pat the recipient area while washing it for the first week.

  3. Just wondering how many of you took MSM post-op? When did you start taking it and did you notice any benefits? (faster healing, growth of your hair in the donor area etc.)

Are there any disadvantages of taking it post-op? Eg. faster shedding of transplanted hairs since it helps make your existing hairs grow faster?

  4. thanks for the reply, i've seen you pop up in a few threads when i did a search on the forum! if you don't mind me asking which HT doctors did you consultation with in australia before deciding to go overseas?

i've had a few online consultations and i've found the prices are pretty much the same (overseas vs. the 2 australian's).

  5. this seems to be the standard response to HT in Australia. I'm curious why? It's hard to believe that in 2013 there is not one doctor that can perform the surgery in a first world country with over 22 million people.

is it a stigma from the 2000's and now everybody is too scared to get it done locally? I've spoken to a few doctors and they seem rather busy, so its not like nobody is going in to see them.
