Janna can I have your email please.
-
I feel you man. I had the Artas procedure done by Shapiro Medical Group and I am disappointed with the results as well.
-
My hairline isn't great either. I'm not sure it is because of ARTAS but most likely because they did not give it the proper amount of attention.
-
I did it at about that time. It was visible at the time because of the redness but it went away.
-
what number you want me to shave it down to?
-
Artas is such a new procedure and your right there are bound to be bugs and i got bit. I guess i can say i took one for the team.
That makes me so upset. I had planned to get the manual fue procedure but they kept pushing the Artas as a superior choice to manual. I didn't realize we were guinea pigs. I had only agreed to Artas after they called me and said the people from Artas were going to be there during my surgery but that never happened.
-
are your hairs thickening or new hairs growing? I feel like my hairline is getting worse every month.
-
If I could do Fue over again I would have chosen a local doctor. The techs do all the work anyway.
-
Hey man I'm around 7 months with Artas. You will see some growth this month for sure. I wonder if SMG is finding that Artas patients are growing out their hairs at a slower rate. I'm at 7 months and I sure hope I have more hairs to come.
-
Hey I have some areas that need to be filled in as well. I'm with ya.
-
Aviva how is your growth going along? Also Janna or Future Ht Doc, can you be more clear about maturation process. Will I still have hair sprouting past 6 months are does that mean the ones that have sprouted will become thicker? Thanks!
-
I was under the impression that over 65% of the end result can be expected in between the 6th and 7th month. I'm going to go with the experience of the many and hold on for the end result but I'm very curious to hear anyone else's opinion
Aviva I still have my head shaved to a number 2 since the procedure it's a lot easier to see progress like this. Ill keep you posted on my growth since I can't find any others on the forum who had used artas and are at 5-6 months.
-
Good to hear. When you say maturation do you mean the thickening process or are hairs still sprouting past the 6 months.
Vegas,I would say the 6th and 7th month is closer to the 40-50% maturation mark.
-
Ah ok that actually sounds right. I was thinking that 6 -12 months was just thickening. Thanks.
Growth timelines vary from patient to patient but on the average -50%-70% by 6 months
90%-100% by 12 months
-
What percentage of growth is normal for 6 months and 12 months?

Hi Hariri,
This is not quite correct - Dr. Ron does almost as many fue surgeries as Dr. Paul but since majority of Dr. Ron's patients come from abroad, we don't get the results as often as Dr. Paul.
REM,
Thanks for posting about your experience.
The reason why Dr. Paul opted out of the Artas was due to the fact that the fine donor hairs he needed for the hairline, temples, and temple points were not ideal donor areas for the Artas. We will always use the best method for the patient.
Are you guys finding out just now that Artas isn't good for hair lines? I got my transplant done on my hairline with the artas at Shapiro medical group. Are you finding the results of artas to be less pleasing because I rarely see any mention of it and also my own growth isn't that great.
-
Do you still have some thin ones growing? I'm at 5 months hopefully get more growth soon.
-
Soooo happy to see the first successful artas. I have been stressing out at 3 months no growth but this has given me hope ,)
-
Hello Aviva, I too had FUE with artas. I am curious, now that you are approaching the fifth month, do you see any signs of growth? Thanks
-
Yo I got 1200 fue with Artas at Shapiro 3 months ago. After reading the forums here I advise that you buy some high spf sunscreen spray to use in your hair whenever you are in the sun. The after care directions say that you can experience discoloration from sun exposure but the forum adds that you can actually lose grafts. Don't know if it's true but hey I use sunscreen and I'm still paranoid.

It's a legit site but once you order from them, they will hound you with phone calls to reorder from them. They call from hundreds of numbers so you can't avoid them. Personally, I advise just getting generic finesteride from a local pharmacy.
