  1. I also wonder the appearance of the transplanted hairs over temple areas. Transplanted hairs are thicker than the original hairs over temple hairline, and may look unnatural with ageing, please keep post the results, especially side views.

Did Maras tell you before the operation that one more session would be necessary to cover this area? And, how did he charge? per graft?

Dr. Maras said that i would not get density if i try to cover all the area. will post some photos, it has been 10 weeks since transplant. the new hair started to grow. I agree with the temple work, they could use some more graft on temple.

  2. Hi There,

If pain killers are not working for you, then you should try aloe vera gel that will really cool down the area.

another thing to try is anti-itching spray. this burn for a bit but cools down later.

your doctor should be able to provide or prescribe these for you.

With time this feeling will reduced, average 14-15 days post OP.

    good luck and stay calm

  3. Hi Guys,

I have visited the clinic yesterday and asked them to provide me with photos of myself. Finally I have figured out how to upload as well. I also took some photos, which I will upload when I get a chance, please let me know what do you think of my results, I haven't lost any transplanted hair yet. I have only one small problem that there is a lot of dandruff in my head since transplant.

  4. Yes I was tempted with a very cheap quotation from Dr. Maral and it is close to Cyprus as well. but While I am already in cyprus now a days and I have seen so many good results from HDC on this forum I decided to go with them. I was in Cyprus last year November 2013 as well, and had assessment done by Dr. Maras at HDC. In my confusion about the clinic, I went to see Dr. Kyriokos Maras at HDC, he was once again so accurate about everything he said last year, and I decided to go with them there and than, and I am so happy that I did,

this is not a small matter to decide about clinic, it is not like trying a barber and if you have a wrong hair style, you can grow hair and get it fixes by someone else.

This is too much detailed work, graft by graft.

  5. Hi KO,

Thank you, you remember that I was so confused about the clinic, but I am so happy that I made the right choice. Do you know I can upload multiple photos, sadly I I dint know how to start a new thread, otherwise I could have started from day one.

Here is my current phot just took now. I took it just under my kitchen light.

I want to post my photos before transplant and after in the same post, but when I attach next photo it replaces the previous one in manGe attachment option.

  6. Hello Guys,

After 8 years of emotional & Psychological suffering due to my sudden hair loss at the age of 27, I have finally gathered the courage to do something about it. I have my hair transplant done on 30th and 31st October by Dr. Maras at HDC Cyprus.

I have been on this forum for more than an year. The experience of other members on this forum did not only help me decide if Hair Transplant is for me, but also greatly helped me to decide about the doctor and clinic.

I am on day 10 today, so most of the postoperative symptoms such swelling of forehead and face are already gone.

I would be posting regularly about my progress.

Thanks to everyone who helped me in pursuit to get my hair back. I can't express the difference I already feel in my face and in my confidence.

  7. Thans You london81. I took ibubrofen 400 mg twice yesterday and slept bit better. I am also applying the spray given by clinic to cool down the burning. Took b complex as well yesterday. I slep better last night and today the intensity of pain and burning is much less. It seems to increase more in night.

Happy growing to all who have had recent HT

  8. Hi Guys, I am also on day 6 post my FUE, since yesterday Day 5, I am also feeling same symptoms of burning and pain in donor area. I went to see my surgery clinic, who advised that it is pRt of healing process and should not last very long. They said it varies people to people that how long it takes to heal. They have given me something to spray on donor area when I feel burning. It helps in short term.

Last night I couldn't sleep as pain, stiffness and burning made me very easy, I took ibuprofen which seem to help for short time.

I am worried about those comments about punch size and the depth is punch,

Could any of this be permanent symptoms or damage. Is anyone aware of any long term side affects of FUE.

I also feel strong pain in my legs ( which is like a sensation or I would say weakness) specially when I have burning sensation in my donor area.

  9. Hi Guys,

Thanks for sharing your results, hope you had all transplanted hair grown. I have booked my FUE HT With DR. Maras on the basis of results seen on this forum and after visiting their clinic and meeting Dr. Maras personally. He has suggested me 3000 grafts. I want to open a thread for my experience with HDC Cyprus. I also chooses this clinic as I have moved to Cyprus temporary and the location is convenient for my HT.

    thanks again for everyone's efforts.

  11. The recommended dose of Finasteride as it pertains to combating hair loss is 1 mg. I don't know for certain that the people claiming that the .5 or .25 mg is working for them, are accurate in their assessment of the efficacy. I would personally try taking 1 mg, and if you experience any side effects at all (most do not), you can either cut back the dosage or get off of it all together at that point. But I wouldn't suggest not trying something just because you are concerned about a side effect that may or may not occur with you.

    Best,

    Mike

Thanks for valuable advise mike. Also what do you think of generic propecia as branded one is ?50 for a month.

  12. Hi guys, any idea if taking .5mg or .25mg will still do the same job. I have jus ordered I month supply of propecia 1mg. But I am bit afraid of side effects. And have read some people taking smaller dose and it is still effective for them.

Please suggest. I am a new member. I have been losing since 2007. No family history. Tha makes me feel more sick. Oi feel so down now a days and really want to do something about my hair loss. I have been using minoxidil 5% for 3 years, but not much help only slowed down the balding process.

    Please help.

    Thanks
