  1. hey,

    thanks for feedback guys!

i guess its a question then of how adaptive/skilled the doc can be to get a good result. tbh i wouldnt want to use anything to thicken my hair and i figure someone with thin hair needs more grafts then than some with thicker hair.

i mean i just want to get a feeling for how likely a good/bad result will be given on what type of hair i got. if theres an increased risk with thin/fine hair that the end result will be bad or if having thin/fine hair requires a particularly skilled surgeon to deal with it, it would be good to know beforehand.

  2. hello,

i think by now i've seen probably about 100 end-results of HTs and my impression was that mostly ppl with thicker hair had good results. I've barely come across good results of people with thin/fine hair. maybe i'm wrong about this but since my own hair is rather thin im a bit hesitant to go into a HT. possibly people with thicker hair have tougher grafts so the survival rate / yield is better?

are there any doctors around who can answere this question or people who know?

  3. hello every1,

would be glad to get enlightened a bit here.

    1) how likely is it that shockloss in the donor or recipient-area occurs?

    2) how likely is it to be permament or will hairs always recover after some time?

    3) whats the reason for shockloss?

i thought shockloss occurs when the tissue gets damaged so the blood flow stops etc. if that is true and we get a HT with a high densitiy, would that also increase chances of shockloss in these areas?

    thanks

  4. Yes, at first the hair may have a curly texture for a while and then it will grow normal. However, if the doc plants the graft at a poor angle, it will grow at a poor angle forever.

lets say that there are a few poorly placed grafts in our new hairline. can we remove them or re-insert them or would that leave scars? or in other words, could the mistake easily get corrected?

  5. Hello,

having seen a lot of pictures of HTs I've regularly come across of pictures that show the hair in the hairline looking unnatural / curely or whatever.

apparently isnt always the case, but often pictures, especially when taken by the clinic, are taken with wet hair, possibly to cover this.

anyway what causes this? is it poor work by the surgeon because the grafts were inserted in the wrong direction or does the hair sooner or later realign to the rest of the hairs direction?

    regards

  6. hey sounds good, sure denny, would be great if you could pass me the links! i' sent an email to Dr.Koray with pictures of my hair and im awaiting his response. at the moment hes the number one on my list with so many good results!

tbh i went through Dr. Lorenzos youtube channel and looked at his results and i thought Dr.Korays looked even better although it might be hard to compare. I mean I find it hard in general making a decission, picking a good surgeon but what else can you do than browsing picks on the internet and hearing what people have exprienced and from that point of view Dr Koray seems superb.

I guess its also a question of marketing, for example I've heard Dr. Jan Heitmann was one of the best FUE Surgeons and hes booked out for over a year in advance, charges more but all the rich people try to get an appointment with him while the results he published on his website are at best mediocre.

  7. ty denny. he mustve made a huge step forwards in the immediate past at least to me it looks like a ton of high quality results!

then again bad results never get published by the clinic so i wonder how chances really are that you get a good result. i heard Dr. Koray is using a new 1-step technique? is that the reason for the many good results or has he been that outstanding before already? I read Dr. Lorenzo gets the most/best consistent results. Is he using that 1-step technique as well?

  8. To my knowledge, there is no actual clinical proof that finasteride is efficient in the donor zone.

Some men thin in their donor zones as they age, some don't. You can study the donor zones on elderly men. You will find some that are a Norwood 6 for example with a very strong thick donor region yet completely slick bald on top.

Others seem to have generalized thinning everywhere.

I wish we could evaluate it more accurately but it is not as tried and true as we may want it.

This is why I highly recommend that one's entire scalp is examined microscopically for miniaturization on a routine basis as we age.

thanks. id just like to go sure that in case i get a HT my new transplated hairs dont fall out because i dont take FIN. dont think id do it if i had to take fin.

  9. thanks a lot everyone for sharing your experiences esp johnny and hariri. really appreciate it! :)

@greatjob: sounds good but what would you say are the optimal characteristics to get an optimal result?

ive been reading another forum as well where Dr. Keser is often mentioned, im a bit surprised no1 on here has mention him thusfar.

heres a link that provides various results of him, i thought they were awesome:

    Clinica Dr.Keser

i like his hairline design in particular. any particular reasons why you guys didnt have him on your radar?

  10. hello every1,

im 30 years old, have a receding hairline and i consider a FUE - HT. im located in Europe / Germany.

I've seen works of Dr. Bizanga and Dr.Keser (belg/turkey) and Dr. Feller, Dr. Rahal and Hasson & Wong from the US/Canda. They all have impressive works and most of them unfortunately also have average or bellow average results.

Im kind of looking for the best surgeon there is with the best and especially most consistent results. Best growing-rate, best medical treatment, most advanced etc.

money shouldnt matter in this case as it might concern me for the rest of my life.

thanks for any help/advice in advance. would be great to hear from ppl who been to these surgeons and would also be great to hear how they compare.

    thanks!
