Hey all I want to preface this by noting that when it comes to the topic of hair I get a bit anxious.
I had an FUE transplant (2500 grafts) 29 days ago. I’ve been diligent in following the post-op instructions. Worked from home for a week to avoid any issue with overdoing it, washed the way I was told etc. I had a couple residual scabs leftover that felt more like dried, dead skin than dried blood (maybe just crusts on the scalp vs scabs). When I was rubbing those 2-3 days ago I noticed I was bleeding in a few spots. I didn’t notice whether I lost a graft (I did not see a “white, rice shaped object). The blood was basically in its individual spot rather than ooze down or drip down my scalp/forehead. I’m nervous and frustrated at what this could be. Hate the thought that I was good for 25 days only to screw something up.
Any thoughts? Thanks for your feedback.
Note: I have a couple photos I’ll post in the morning.

Thank you all for the comments.

Just had my stitches removed and crusting/scabbing also nice and cleaned. Everything looks real clean. Very happy with where I am today (even as neurotic as I am about my hair). Looking forward to seeing and sharing results soon. Thanks Dr. Panine and Stuart!

I started notice crusting and that hair "gravitated" into clumps around incision cites. I followed the first week post op to a T. Even only used a cup with water until today (day 9).
Question: am I just being paranoid that I'm losing donor hair? Can I wash my hair like a normal person again?

my hair line was not the concern. It was thinning throughout.

I am a 27 year old man and I've seen my hair thin over the past few years. I have a pretty strong peak, but what was behind started to thin. I knew I needed to get something done. I started taking Propecia, but wanted a more permanent solution.
So after researching doctors in the Chicago area for about a year I chose Dr. Panine. He is located in downtown and was a great fit for me. I decided to get a consultation and that is where I met Stuart and Dr. Panine. Both were extremely helpful and caring which was a great start.
I decided to shoot for a good amount of grafts. All in all I got just about 3500 grafts. I arrived at Dr. Panine's office at 9 am 12/27 and was greeted warmly by everyone. The entire staff was very courteous and made me feel very special.
Pain was very minimal. Of course the donor strip area had a little discomfort once it was sewn up again, but nothing bad. It was a long procedure. I ended up leaving just after midnight.
I am definitely eager for the results and will post periodically to show.

Very nice. I had heard good things about him. How many grafts did you have done?

The people at the office were incredibly friendly as was Dr. Rose. I just feel that the current state of the area implanted does not look as it should given the amount of grafts (2k+)

I went to Paul Rose in Tampa. I heard he recently moved to Miami. I don't have pictures from then, but I obviously can provide where I am as of now. It would take me some time to recover those photos from the office.
Like I said, it could be a number of reasons, but judging the area focused on, one would not expect the area to look as it does, currently.

Hi guys,
this is my first post, although I do read them quite frequently (also just decided to create an account). I am new to Chicago and am 27 years old. I had some work done in Florida in July 2010 when I was 24. I have heard it may be young, but I run on confidence and losing one's hair at a young age can be self deprecating. I think a lot of it was due to stress from school/law school etc.
I had a procedure done in 2010 and still feel like I did not get my money's worth. Either it never worked, or I lost more hair than was put in. Either way, I continue to feel upset about it.
I am looking for a good doctor in Chicago ASAP. I can no longer let this go on.
Any advice would be appreciated
