Hi everyone!
It's been a long while since I updated. I'm now at 10 months and I really can't say anything except my life has been transformed. I know I didn't have nearly as bad as a pattern as some of you out there, but believe me when I tell you that I feel like my appearance has completely transformed. I can now wear my hair in a number of styles, and I have been trying out different haircuts.
I just actually got it cut yesterday, and while I think it's a bit short, I think it's going to grow in really well!! I may get my hairline lowered a bit more in the future, not sure yet as I'm holding out for a year or two to see how much worse my crown/mid gets. But so far so good!
My most recent pics are taken right out of the shower with a towel dry, in bright light, no flash. I combed my hair in different ways so you can get a good look at the hairline, as well as how I will likely style it. No product or concealer, this is 100% me. Dr. Rahal did such an amazing job that my temple area actually naturally curls the way it used to. You can see what I mean with the longer shots before my haircut.

I don't say this too heavy handed, but there is a box on your medical form that said "is this patient mentally fit for a hair transplant?" Your doctor should have selected, no.

Ok, so 5 months was yesterday. I just snapped a couple quick shots while at work. I will do a big update at the 6 month milestone with some proper shots. As you can see, the growth is insane! I don't even recognize myself anymore. I've been trotting around without a hat on, or worrying about my hair. It's truly a life altering change.
I have product in my hair (so stoked about that), you can see my hairline is still a bit thin, but the camera really makes it look worse then it is. No flash of course! In a few more months I expect it will be fully grown in. Can't believe it!
For those of you guys who question the validity of FUE, I am happy to be the person to evaporate that mentality. Dr. Rahal & Team are truly masters of the game.

You get what you pay for in almost every aspect of life.

My forelock is the only reason why nobody knows I'm balding, minus my dad whom is the only person I've told personally about my procedure.

Hey we both updated our 3 month shots! You're looking pretty good mate! A couple more months for the both of us and things will be amazing!

Congratulations, but, what happens if you lose your forelock in the next few years?
We did a pretty thorough check of my forelock and it has not thinned much at all. If it does go, then I will be making a return to the chair to get it fixed up. I still have an estimated 2500 grafts left to go if I do FUE. If things get really bad in the next 10 years, I probably have 4000+ for FUT. I'm not too worried. HOPEFULLY in the next 5-10 years there will be another treatment on the market that will help us maintain our hair without any nasty hormone alterations.
Hit one month 4 days ago, most of the transplanted hair has shed, oddly there are some grafts (maybe 2%) that have decided to stick around and call me crazy, they appear to be growing?
I'll post a couple pics tomorrow.

Dude! That hairline of yours is going to be epic! As promised I will be visiting London in the near future for some pints & football, with our new hairlines of course!

Congrats, and thanks for sharing your story so far!
You're saying exactly what I thought and wrote about my own time at the clinic and at Brookline. It's genuinely sad when it's time to leave.
I know who you're talking about from London. He posts on here. Great guy.
You're in for "masterpiece" result indeed!
Thanks Matt! Believe me, I can not stress how much of a difference it makes to be sharing a HT journey with another patient while at the house. I know I made the right choice with Dr. Rahal & team! And to think of all the cool things I am going to do with my new hair, I'm literally on cloud 9.

Hey everyone.
Here's my blog and details from my procedure with Dr Rahal I had last week.
I can not say enough positive things about Dr. Rahal and his staff. My work looks amazing and as the doc said himself it's going to be a "Masterpiece!!"
I did a full write up on Dr Rahal's website, if you want more details on the procedure. But the long short is that I felt like I was in the best hands possible, everyone was amazing and the skill of Dr. Rahal is undeniable. Of course another special honorable mention to Mike, he is the man!
I stayed at the Brookeline guesthouse with another fellow HT patient from London. He's an awesome guy and I know both of us are going to have incredible heads of hair in the coming months! I can not stress enough how amazing it is to stay at the Brookeline house in Ottawa. I came down expecting to feel like I was all on my own, but having that camaraderie with another HT patient and bonding while at the house was freakin fantastic.

Dr. Rahal - 2639 Grafts FUE. 10 Months

After the redness fades, which took about 2 months for me because I have super pale skin. I was buzzing my head and just applying minox & a little spray of toppik. Not a single person I know noticed that I wasn't doing anything other than shaving my head for the summer. The beauty of FUE is that with no scar, it was easy to just rock a buzzed look after the redness faded. You CAN notice that the sides of my hair where the grafts were taken are a little less dense now as compared to the surrounding neckline, but that's only when it's buzzed to a 0 or a 1. If I shave the sides with a G2, it's barley noticeable, and a G3 you can't see the donor site at all.
After 4 months, I stopped buzzing it and just let it grow, and it filled in well enough that I stopped with the concealer.
