  1. So, it's been exactly one month since my FUE procedure with Dr. Rahal.

As expected, at week 3 the shedding of the transplanted follicles began.

Now it appears about 90% of the transplanted follicles have shed, as you can see my original hairline in the photos.

The scalp in the reciepent area has regained most of its sensation, yet is still a bit pink. Hopefully a good sign as bloodflow is needed in the area.

Donor area is filling in nicely and has healed well.

Now a 2-month wait before seeing the initial signs of new growth.

  2. It has been just over 2 weeks since my FUE procedure and the grafts have started to shed a lot.

There is some redness in the recipient area, possibly due to the first application of minoxidil 5%, which tingles a lot.

The donor area is healing nicely, with a bit of itchiness and redness which should subside within the next 4-5 days.

As I enter the ugly-duckling phase I am happy to report no complications with the healing process, and looking forward to resuming my normal exercise regimen sometime in the next week or so.

  3. It's been one week since my procedure with Dr. Rahal.

Recovery is coming right along. I'm taking it easy for one more week, to make sure I don't disturb my beautiful grafts.

Almost all of the swelling has subsided from the recipient area, and I can move my forehead again.

Anxiously awaiting the ugly duckling period. The only sad thing is that the weather in LA is gorgeous and I can't go out in the sun for 3 months.

    Oh well...
