  1. I can only speak based on my experience. Those areas on my scalp that were spreading completely disappeared after a couple of days. I was applying vitamin e oil during that phase so that may have helped the healing a bit.

Bonaparts, after you get through the scalp spreading you get to experience the fun of the shedding phase!!! The first few weeks are not that fun man. Hang in there!

Thanks for your reply, i just hope it will be all worth it in the end, cracks are getting even wider

  2. I had the same thing happen to me at day five or six. The literature I received from my doc said this is normal. The scalp is spreading and it appears that there are no grafts in that area but it should return to normal within a few days, which was the case with my scalp.

Do those ''valleys'' close down and if they do when does is happen? Thanks

  3. I am really disappointed in what's going on, I received 2300 grafts on monday, today is the 8th day and I have these hairless cracks appearing, I am not sure what is going on, I wash my head with baby shampoo like doctor advised me to, no shower, light massage with fingertips and every time I wash my head i can see hair with black bulbs and skin around in the sink

I am really concerned because I had large area on the donor site and if I will need more grafts I don't know if I will be able to have them, should I contact my doctor? Did I pull my grafts out? Those hairless lines are becoming wider with every day

First photo is day 5 and second photo is day 8 now in the morning. I feel desperate that I pulled my grafts out

will those places be hairless now?

  4. I know how you feel, I went overseas a week ago to have my HT as well, my family is living in a different country, and they do not know that I went to have HT, I haven't told them, I haven't told anyone why I went overseas

I just told few people that I am going to different country, now I am back with healing hair transplant, going to work on Tuesday hoping it will not be that visible :D

I just didn't want to tell my parents because they would worry and make me worry even more.

  5. I am really not an expert, truly newbie here, received similar number of grafts 2300 on monday, 5 days post op now, I think it depends on your graft quality and donor area density, I received my FUE grafts on about 20 % smaller area than yours and doctor tolled me he placed mostly 3 - 5 and also 6 hair grafts, because I did not have many 1 hair grafts to even do the hairline

I think at the moment it is hard to judge about your HT, because only after 9 - 12 months you can fully appreciate the result of your procedure, hope this helps

Also before the surgery doctor tolled me he cannot give me more than 2500 because there is no space

  6. I had FUE hair transplant on monday, everything went perfect, I was very impressed with the procedure, but since I looked on the internet I get VERY confused about coffee consuption and caffeine, my surgeon did not say that I should avoid drinking coffee, in fact I had coffee during the procedure, but since I look into it, there are many who strongly advise not to consume it for many days but then there are studies that show caffeine is good for you - like increased hair growth and defense agains DHT,

I am taking finasteride since sunday ( one day pre op ) now as well, but caffeine?!!! Can someone explain to me should I stop drinking coffee or it is beneficial to consume it? Or avoiding coffee consumption is just overly hyped thing? Because I love coffee
