  1. Bhatti is not recommended on the hair restoration network. He applied for recommendation but was not successful.

oh  well that's news to me, I think i might have gotten him mixed up with all the threads i been reading etc.

either way, i think he is a good doctor, but now that I opened my eye to the hairline thing i gotta do more research into it.

    Thanks for the info Mickey85

  2. Hi California,

I have never knew you had asked me to back up my claims. I don't subscribe to threads because they fill up my email so I must have missed it. I can appreciate and understand your concern, I really do.

My proof is in the lack of quantity of quality results from Bhatti. Where are they? For one to be consistent, there must be something to analyse. I cannot recommend a surgeon who has not proven his consistency. Surgeons like Lorenzo, Erdogan, Bisanga continually show us that their work is refined and at the forefront of FUE. Bhatti has not demonstrated this. The onus is on the surgeon to prove his consistency. Bhatti was denied recommendation on here for reasons unknown, that is a concern to me. Please send me a PM with links of Dr Bhatti's work. Until then, he remains unproven in my eyes.

what do you mean he was denied recommendations ? I never heard of it. it was my understanding that if he is on the list here, then he must have proven himself ? I am starting to have doubts now.

  4. In my opinion it's definitely about the quality and not the price . A few thousand dollars one way or the other means nothing over several decades .

I agree 100% with you, they are a few thousand dollars apart but both their work seems really really good. that is why i am asking who is better and why ? money difference between them is not the deciding factor here.

do you know what the advantages and disadvantages are to the quality of each doctor ?

  5. yeah i have probably about 1000 grafts on my top/font area. you just can't see it because they are really thin. so from far away it looks like i have 0 hair on top when in reality there is hair just really thin. so the paste would unlikely work for me.

i look into the sea salt spray as i have never heard of it before.

2900 sounds about average or maybe high normal of whatever one else seems to have been getting.

  6. I had a transplant with Dr Hasson. I'm pleased but in the back of my mind I still wonder what the results would have been like if I had gone to Dr Rahal. That being said, I think he's a great choice. I got in on a cancellation appointment and had roughly 3k grafts and without getting too specific on pricing I had surgery for under $10k. They also paid my for my hotel.

did you also get FUE ? what are you regretting or doubting when you chose Hasson ?

  7. Profoam, you are right price over quality is a bad approach and it wasn't necassirly the only thing i was looking for. This is applies to anything not just HT, quantity over quality isn't a route that i go. I was also looking for suggestions into doctors that are overseas if i do decide to make a vacation out of it (doubting it now with how long the procedure would be). Nonetheless, these two doctors seem to be very good at what they do despite being cheaper than the US.

I wish i could shave my head but in my work environment it would be inappropriate to shave my head. At least for now.

my hair loss has slowed down dramatically especially in the last year or so after graduating. I believe this was the major factor in my hair loss, getting 4-6 hours of sleep a day and the stress of taking more than full time lectures.

this leads me to believe that it was the stress i put myself through back then, i probably will lose more the older i get but hopefully doesn't get worse than this. (my father is the same level as me)

I do need to do a lot more research too as i have not used any medication other than rogaine for 6 month about 3 years ago.

good thing you mentioned the pictures of FUT vs FUE as i usually didn't pay attention.

BTW, my scalp is pretty dark too. I am brown in color, sometimes people mistake me for someone who is Hispanic so i think that might be to my advantage.

the pictures are horrible and do any justice, as they were taken with my cell phone with reflection of the light against my head. i'll try to take some better pictures with my SLR and post them.

  8. Thanks everyone for your reply, i know i have a far progressed hair loss and i am not necessarily looking to have all my hair 100% back, we all know that would never happen. I am just looking for an improvement with some front hair line coverage too.

I was looking at William38's surgery and progress (http://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/eve/171507-7350-grafts-850-body-hair-dr-villnow-dr-de-reys.html) and that's why i am thinking about FUE.

I know he likely has a lot more donor hair so i am not expecting to have the same results as him.

  9. That's why I mentioned Shapiro, they are very honest

Personally, I think you're going to regret it sooner rather than later but good luck.

Some people bald well into the safe zone, you could to be one of those people. That means two things, your transplanated grafts could fall out someday and the donor area could end up very sparse

I really appreciate you giving me the heads up, that's exactly why i am asking questions here and i am asking about good doctors.

this will be one of the questions that i would raise, whether or not my transplanted hair could fall out....

  10. The price is definitely a factor but not the main reason why i am asking about overseas. I am going to make a vacation out of it if i am taking time off. I really don't see a point in taking days off and just sitting down and relaxing if it would just be numb and a little swollen. but then again, i could be underestimating the FUE procedure.

I see India as a great place to go explorer if i do get it there, I have always wanted to visit India. Europe would be cool too, I was thinking Turkey.

    what "level" are you ? 1, 2 ?

my expectations are just to cover my head so that you don't get the "reflection" effect when walking around. I am not looking for thick hair like when i was 20, but rather enough to cover the top and crown.
